What about the 8 gb of internal memory on the new Bold 9900?
That just lets you hold more music, podcasts, pictures from the camera, etc., on the device memory. That's all you could do before (such as with the 9800 and its 4Gb of internal memory), and that's all you can still do. The 9900 makes use of its 768Mb of ram (separate from the internal memory) for loading and running apps.
Nope, as stated above, given the security concerns and the separate memory spaces, it is unlikely that you will be able to run apps off the Media Card (note the name). OTADownloader let's you save the .jads to your media card for easy reinstallation with having to re-download them. Good for people with low-ceiling data plans or who wipe frequently.
