****2) I had to turn off Smart Dialing (+1) dialing to be able to place calls from my phone book.

a) Click on the Green phone icon key

b) Click on the Blackberry menu key; Options; Smart Dialing

c) Change the country code to �unknown�****

I have used different usb ports and a different computer when I plug in it does not show up as being detected, Is there something turned off in the 8350 ?

are you using a port on the back of the computer? NOT through a hub.

does your BB charge with the port?

since i DL the new facebook , my 8350i doenst connect , says error no data services, how do we fix this...

First Thanks for the help as I am not very computer savy, but my 10 year old said try another usb cord even though the cord I was using was new it charged the phone so I assumed it was ok. Well I was wrong. A different cord cured the problem. Next question I down loaded the latest version of bb desktop should I have got the 4.6 version

This may be a tottal rumor but I heard from someone that there is a service book to have bb messenger work on Boostberries, he was told by an employee at a sprint store that you have to delete the bb messenger that is on there and reload the new one. Any truth?

go ahead and try, but the BBM connects to RIM servers through a BIS/BES account. if you dont have one or the other you cant connect to RIM servers.

one quick question, sometimes when i send messages the other person gets them pretty quick but when they reply (certain people) it takes forever to recieve them, also in my boost account page where it says message level on mine it says minimal message level? anyone know why? anyone got this prob too thanks.

i have the 8350i on boost and i've followed all these directions and i cant get to advanced settings and then making the host table register i get three different things i have to register and it says that they are registered and texting or MMS or w/e stilldoesnt work. this is so frustrating!

If you have not been able to unzip that file that means that you have not been able to install it in your phone, therefore, you are thinking right...you won't be able to text or to web.
Now, have you downloaded the combined3 file to your pc? if so, right click it and click on "extract all files"...then just follow the tutorial in the Sticky.
