WHILE WATCHING the promo video for the bold touch I noticed something @ the 20 second mark on the video.....they show 2 bb phones bump eachother and it looks as if they are now bbm friends. Does this mean with the new bbm 6.0 they are going to come out with a bump feature in addition to the barcode scan and pin swap?

I noticed this as well....I would ASSume it has to do with the NFC workings. Because, shy of BT there would be no other way (and you would have to pair em first ie: DUM).
I WAS perfectly happy with my Torch, until these new videos started popping up. Now I WANT a Monaco :-)
I believe that bump in the video is hinting NFC. Other than that, to me nothing else new other than icons and the bold touch's thinness. At least in the video.
There is an iPhone app called Bump that allows users (both running the software) to fist-bump to share content or business cards, which doesn't require BT connectivity. I would imagine it is something like that.

While the end result is similar, I believe the iOS Bump program uses an external cloud server to relay information between the two phones when they're close together. There's no direct connection between the two phones. NFC is direct and doesn't require anything other than close contact with each other.

Yep, bump uses the sensors in an iphone or android device to create an identity and matches the two bumping devices by matching their physical bump algorithms, sends through their servers and back to the other device. Not secure imo. NFC would be much better.....

YESSSSS Now when I see a hot girl in the library who has a blackberry, I'm gonna "bump" into her by accident because I'm too much of a puss to say hi haha

the size of 9000 + the track-pad of 9700 = perfect Blackberry!
So just adding only the trackpad makes it the best? Wow, you must really love the 9000, . You are not the only one, I do too, but I am going to love the newer OS and better/faster everything with the software/hardware.
