Thank you! I was looking for this.
Do you know if there is Korean/Japanese font support too? No input though, just to show Korean and Japanese characters instead of squares.

Edit: sorry, found out that they do have Korean and Japanese font in this package. Thanks again!

Just install the CODs using MCP on my 9700 running 6.0.0.344. Rebooted and so far working great for Chinese pinyin input and viewing CJK fonts. Browser continue to work for me.

It's still in the first post. You'll see a bunch of cod files. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out which files are for the input, and which are for displaying.

I found the best is to first copy all the CJK stuff from (BB9780-6.0.0.294), then put everything in OP's rar file into java folder, overwrite existing.

    Here is what I did:
    1. Install both 9700-6.0.0.344 and 9780-6.0.0.294
    2. Go to the 9780-6.0.0.294, Control-A (Select All Files) and then Control-C (COPY)
    3. Goto the 9700-6.0.0.344 folder, Control-V (Paste), "Skip File If Existing" (this "SKIP" thing only available in Win7 or Vista, in XP you have to press "N" when there is existing files, the purpose is to get the missing lanugage files only)
    4. Extract OP's rar file put everthing into 9700.6.0.0.344 java folder, MAKE SURE not extract the PATH "Chinese Pinyin Input OS 6 Qwerty"

Then run the BB Loader or the Desktop Manager, you might need to delelte the vendor.xml file if your loader does nor recognize the update for your device.

    Enjoy!

I used the CJK Files from the 9700 OS 5 installation, copied them to the os 6 folder.

After copying the CJK.alx and the entire Java folder, i then reinstalled OS 6 using the repair option.

Works perfectly, and you have every input option available for CJK.

I can't get it to work with 5.0.0.423 East Asia one.

Edit: It also didn't work with 5.0.0.979

You have to use BBSAK after you installed OS6.

    You can try this...

    1. Download the attached zip file to a temporary directory.
    2. Backup you current CJK.ALX file in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700M_v6.0.0.344_P6.6.0.50.
    3. copy the CJK.ALX from the zip file into the directory in step 2 overwriting the current one.
    4. copy the COD files from the java directory from the zip file into the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700M_v6.0.0.344_P6.6.0.50\Java directory.
    5. attach your device and run loader and you should see korean input as a choice.

    Hope this helps!
