Since getting a 9900, I now notice that when I connect the device to my computer via USB I see an additional drive, G:, called "BlackBerry User Tools". I never saw this before, and don't really know what it's for. The partition/drive is 60 MB and it has two folders in it, "BlackBerry" and "home", with about 22 MB and 8 MB respectively. I'd like to know what all this stuff is doing there, and whether I can get rid of it.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question.

It's called that because it has the BlackBerry Desktop Software there instead of them including it on a CD.

Oh that's cool, so how do we or can we delete it. Just hook it up to the pc and delete thru windows explorer? I don't want to delete something needed, is the file name pretty obvious?

I believe it's the "start.exe" file, which is about 12 MB in size. I moved it to the SD card to see if anything bad would happen. So far, so good.

You deleted the wrong exe. Look in Task Manager and find out which exe is launched when you plug in the cable.
