Blackberry Protect "not supported in data plan" on AT&T ??!?
I upgraded my 9900 a couple of days ago to the official 7.1 realease from AT&T (finally!!!). I was running a previous release of the 7.1 before that, and Blackberry Protect was working fine. Now, I keep getting a message that "Blackberry Protect is not supported in my data plan"! I've haven't changed anything on my plan (I have the Blackberry Voice+300MB+Visual Voicemail). I called AT&T and asked them to deactivate and reactivate my data plan, and also reinstalled the Blackberry Protect app, with no luck.
Any suggestions before I switch to a paid app?

This is an AT&T issue and they should be able to fix it for you.
Blackberry Protect uses your data plan to upload the backup. The message you are getting is an AT&T service message saying it's not supported, so call AT&T and get them to fix it for you.

I'm on AT&T too and have had the same issue. I've found that a few battery pulls after trying to log into BB Protect usually corrects the problem. You may also try re-registering the device on the network. If all else fails call AT&T.

That's weird! Shouldn't a customers BIS plan already support the BB protect app?

I dont seem to have a problem with mine. Have you tried resending your service books to see if maybe it will refresh everything?
