What do you mean? Are you asking in the applications are different? If yes, they do the same thing, but the BlackBerry Pin Messenger communicates with other BlackBerry's...

I am trying to find the option to change "show conversations in message list", but am not finding it in my messenger screen.

Open BB Messenger. You should see your Contact List. Hit the Menu key and choose Options. The last option, at the bottom, should be "Show Conversations in Message List." Change it to Yes, hit the Menu key, click Save.

I'm on an 8700c and I don't see that option on my messenger screen. Unless I'm even confusing what my messenger screen is. Any other thoughts? Thanks.

Are you sure you're in BLACKBERRY PIN MESSENGER program?

I can send and receive pins. Does that mean I'm in blackberry pin messenger or not necessarily?

Sounds like it, but why not check? From the main screen sroll to the said application, while it's highlighted, it should say the name of the application!

    It just says Messenger.

JUST Messenger, or BlackBerry Messenger? We're trying to make sure you're in the right application. If you are, there is no reason why when you're in it, and go to menu / options / you should not see "show conversation in message list"...

You can send and receive plain PIN messages without using BB Messenger. BB Messenger just makes it more like IM/chat. You have to actively open BB Messenger to use it.

Starting on your Home screen, take us step-by-step through exactly what you are doing to get into this messenger scenario. That way we can figure out exactly where you're at and offer guidance.

Not all OS's will allow you to have the BB Messenger messages in your main Messages folder.

From my home screen, I have a Messenger icon. I click on that to get to my email. I was not initially aware of pins until another user talked to me about it, and sent me one. I responded and we have done this several times. However, from the messenger screen, I click to get my menu and go to "search folder" and select "sent items." The pins I sent are not in that folder. I go back to the email list, click to get to my menu and select "options." On that page, I don't see an option for "show conversations in message list" Does this help? At one point, I had asked about hiding sent pins in an effort to come at this from the other direction, but I'm just trying to see if there is a way to show the pins I sent in my sent items folder. Thanks for the help!!

Let's be CLEAR here. The icon you're talking about on your home screen is MESSAGES! Not BLACKBERRY MESSENGER

I wish I could get screenshots of my Curve, I'd post it, make life much easier...

    Yes, it is just Messages.

Well, you're looking at the wrong thing then, aren't you? Rhetorical, of course...

Go to the screen that has ALL your icons, one of them is listed as BLACKBERRY PIN MESSENGER! Now, once in it, go to menu / options / show conversations in message list / set it to NO.

    Look for this icon somewhere:

Open it, then do what Navilyn said, and you'll be right as rain.

I don't have that icon on my 8700c. I looked at the Blackberry site and saw screen shots of other 8700 models, and I saw it on those models. But it's not on my main screen.

As a follow up, you can look at the screen shots of the main screen on BlackBerry - BlackBerry Wireless Handheld Devices, Smartphone, Email, Software, GPS, Internet & Video and then click on devices.

Hmm, looks like AT&T may not support BB Messenger on the 8700.

Attention AT&T Customers: AT&T supports BlackBerry Messenger on the BlackBerry Pearl™ smartphone and BlackBerry 8800 smartphone, previous versions on previous devices are not supported at this time.
    And the Curve, of course...

Thanks for the info. Any other thoughts on retreiving sent pins or do you think I'm out of luck?
