Hi I just ran the OS update for 9700 to OS v5.0.0.405_P5.1.0.112 and I am having strange issues.

BBM will not run at all no matter how many times it is installed. I keep deleting/removing BBM and reinstall manually and through app world nothing works.

It just wont run through App world and there is no icon for BBM either anywhere.

    Anyone else had similar issues?

Going to try updating to OS 5.0.0.423 Officially Released By Bell Mobility to see if this issue is overcome. Will update soon.

I have been able to install BBM on .405, but not on any leaks above that... The funny (ironic) thing that I have seen is any build where I can get the MyFaves/ Mobile Backup to work I cannot get BBM to show after it has been installed.

Maybe (using CrackMem or Master Control Program) delete the myfaves files... that MAY help you... if that's not whats messing it up I'm not sure.

Downloaded the latest official OS 5.0.0.423 from Bell Mobility.

Took a selective backup of Contacts, Messages and Phone options, Loaded MCP, chose Delete JVM, Full Wipe and removed MyFaves and all Tmo related junk.

Then loaded the OS onto the phone and restored everything.

Now phone is working as usual. Looks like this OS update is a good idea.
