I'm trying to add one of my friends to blackberry messenger. I've added him to my contacts and included his name, cell number and email address. When I go to blackberry messenger to add him, for some reason it sends the request to me! Under requests my email address shows up. What gives? What am I doing wrong?

Did to go to menu and add contact by pin? Try that.

Well I do everything everyone has said, it shows pending on my phone and the person never receives it. I've tried it with several friends and they end up having to add me back. I do the use once, put in their pin and it shows "request pending". So.. what else should I be doing?

The person on the other end has to accept your request

Are you certain the pin you're entering is correct?

Yep, because it shows pending, I call him and he says-nope not there... It's the same number that shows on pending and he sends me a request and up pops the exact same number...

That is strange. I don't know then. There are threads specifically on this topic. I'm sure a search will come up with the answer.

Pinkybella- do you have a curve? That same issue is affecting me too I did a battery pull while on and after trying a few times it worked... There are still some pending contacts that I've had for few days and I also have me own name under requests and when I delete my name the pendin g contacts are deleted. Let me know if there are any new developments

    Thanks
