I have an old Blackberry Curve that had some contacts on it. This curve has now been given to my wife.

If people had me added with that phone's PIN on their BB Messenger, how can I make it so they don't send messages to my wife short of "Take me off your list"?

    Thanks!

The simplest way is to delete the contacts from BlackBerry Messenger. That will remove your contact information from their Messengers.

Second, you can use Advanced Restore to delete all contacts, then write the purged file back to the Curve.

For future reference use the device switch wizard before you activate the new phone. Once you restore your old phone's settings and bbm contacts to the new one you can now activate by putting the sim card in it or if a CDMA phone, activating the esn. Now your new pin is pushed to your bbm contacts. They'll never know you switched phones. Then just delete them from your old one.
