this is my first time posting so give me a break. i was running os 5.0.0.93 on my 8900. it was running great. once the bbm leaked yesterday, i tried downloading it from stormota. i downloaded the 5.0 version (since i was running that os), but after installation, the icon disappeared. in options, it said it was still installed but "unavailable" in properties.

so what i did was upgraded my os to 5.0.0.100, and still no bbm. i tried multiple attempts to download different versions, still nothing. so i downgraded my os to 4.6.1.231. i finally got my blackberry messenger running with all my original contacts. so it was time for me to try and download the new bbm 5.0 AGAIN... now im getting "download failed". i hate my life

but i was reading previous posts and there are 8900s that have 5.0.0.100 with bbm 5.0 and working fine? so i dont understand whats the deal.

anyway, i tried to upgrade my blackberry again through DM but now the update isnt showin' up. i uninstalled previous versions but its not prompting me to update anymore.

ANYONE PLEASE HELP!!

all im asking is to have the 5.0.0.100 software with the new BBM 5.0.

im installing 5.0.0.100 now

i guess when i downgraded, the vender file got reinstalled. now its prompting.

still i need help on bbm 5.0!

it wont get you bbm5.0 but it will get you bbm back,....

ya i do have the old bbm. i got it back when i downgraded, which was cool

but i want 5.0!! everyone has it except meee

try that link and follow instructions it should work...but BBM5.0 is buggy atm so you may want to hold off on it for a bit ...or not lol
