Hi,
I have a Torch with firmware bundle 1165. I am in a country where BlackBerry App World is not supported. Reading around the web, I have found out that I can use app world 2.0.0.36 and use wifi (with radio turned off) and use app world. I used this option before I upgraded the Torch firmware.
I have now removed app world that came with firmware bundle 1165 (don't remember the version) and installed app world 2.0.0.36. Following four files came in the package I downloaded:
I installed it using Desktop Manager. The device reboots and I can see app world 2.0.0.36 (both from the device and also from desktop manager). the problem is that I have no icon, so I can't launch it.
Is there a way of getting the icon back? Or running the application without the icon?
download BBSAK ,and then remove any COD that is related to app world or delete app world from your device and then restart and download for os6 file, then extract all files to desktop and then open BBSAK and press modify COD'S and press install JAD, then select the .jad file from desktop and enjoy
