Just installed .405 days ago and now this. For separating SMS and Email, did this add back the "Main Message List Settings", or is it still in the General Options? Not sure how RIM builds their software but I preferred the "Main Message List Settings" that was available in .371, but it's back to the old options setting in .405 under General Options of the Message app. Anyone with info on this?

    I take it back

Inbox settings allows you to merge SMS/MMS and other Accounts into "Messages"

    It is not "theme controlled"
So when you go into Message app > Menu > Options, there's a "Main Message-List Options"? This allowed you to combine the specific email accounts that you have set up, as well as separating SMS/MMS.

    More specifically

Messages -> Menu -> Options -> Inbox Settings and you can select Email Accounts / Other Message Types

    in there

Seems like they got rid of the issue when sending sms where if you hit alt and backspace it deletes your entire message.

Also, myfaves is working on the phone now... I'm never going to use it, but it's there.

I wish Google Sync saved PINs..

Everything else seems about the same

New 5.x theme layouts are back (gone from .405)

You know you can backup & restore your BBM contacts right? If you register it to an email it saves all changes

The poor image quality is back on this leak.
Google maps doesn't seem to work.
Everything else for now seems stable.

Edit: Google maps started working but very slow (keeps losing data connection and retries)

I didn't see this answered but is the "Main Message List Settings" in this build? It wasn't in .405 so I went back to .351.

    Thanks!

"Main Message List Settings" has been renamed to "Inbox Settings" but yes, it's there in this build

SMS bug fixed in this release as well!

All new UI enhacements from 351/371 (theme controls)

Can't speak for stability or battery life yet but I'm REALLY liking this realease so far!

I just installed .405 the other day and here's this another leak already? Now, I'm starting to think this is really getting me nervous. Why, because it only means two things:

    1. It could be that RIM just really want to make the OS 5.0 really perfect for the 9700 so they keep on releasing these modifications

    -OR-

    2. OS 5.0 for the 9700 really sucks and too unstable, hence, the raining down of leaks such as this one... Remember the Storm 1 OS issues when it was first released?

I'm more inclined to believe Reason No. 1, though. Except that .371, all the OS 5.0 that was either leaked or was pre-installed was pretty stable, as far as this forum was concerned, right?

    Any thoughts on this?
Aaah! Whatever...!!! I'm still going to download & install this one, too!
You're off base on both. Look at the 9000 or any other RIM device. RIM does not stop Development on its devices. Dev always continues. There will continue to be new revisions for the 9700 and all other devices not matter how perfect or not each new compile is.

Google Maps is fine as per the other poster, just slow on startup

I find it more accurate sans GPS than .351 was

There must be a cutoff somewhere, I can't see them continuing developement on a devices OS much past 3 years, would they?
