That's not a glitch, its just a diff theme. If I remember correct, its the theme that came with the leaked os for the 8530 but don't hold me to it.

Same for me, only it's my Messaging folder that's like that. Anyone know what's causing it? If not, it's not really a big deal.

Check the old thread, I remember weeed saying something about making the icons bigger so that they resemble the newer bb stock themes (ie, the 9700)

The easiest way to tell is by the MMS. Try sending yourself an MMS. If you receive a link to the picturemail site, you've got an 8330e. If you open the mms and see the actual pic that you sent, you have an 8330m

Sweet, it went to the picture mail site... so I'm all good for the upgrade right? I have v4 already, and the memory leak is killing me... hearing about this huge upgrade has me giddy lol... since I have v4 now, what should be the best way of getting to v6.5? Should I upgrade from v4 to v6 and then to v6.5? Thanks guys.

Hey Supa if you go to options->about it should say whay model 8330 you have. If you see m, fawgedaboutit. Also weeedman made the v6.5 upgrade damn near fool-proof. Just paste the v6.5 folder where your old 5.0 files were and re-install. Fin. And in addition to having WAY more space than other builds, the memory leak is gone. I usually start at about 33M free and leak down to 24M.

Can I just put the OS 5.0 on my berry and then add the v6.5 hybrid on there ? Or do I need to put the lower v's on there first?

sandberry I just put the 6.5 on fresh with no lower ones. Just replace the folder with the 6.5 version and reinstall.
    good to go.

Ok birdman, I'm downloading the OS 5.0 via nathanix.com (I saw he mentioned you on the homepage so I assume he's your friend and a trusted leaker). I'm reading the instructions thoroughly and once 5.0 is installed I will attempt loading the hybrid.....I'm nervous lol.

Simple solution, I've been doin this since the beginning of birdmans hybrids. To play a sound in a mms just hit the volume button on the side of your BB.

Does anyone have problems with Ad-On Programs installing incorrectly or not being recognized? I've had this problem with various installs, usually with BBM 5.0. The app list has it listed, but there's no icon and it doesn't appear in the app switcher. It also happened w/ BBMaps this last time.

I'm really careful with file handling when applying hybrids to their bases and then installing them.

    Any thoughts?

YAY! I'm so pumped, I finally got it to work! I'm not really certain which version of the hybrid I'm running but it finally says .238!!! Currently loading all my apps back on here. Thank you so much Birdman for your hybrid making and Nathanix for your awesome tutorial and everyone else who helped out! Happy Holidays!

I know this, I have been doing this that long too.

There IS no sound attached. It's stripped out. Even if I send a ringtone back to myself, it simply isn't there. You can't play it if it isn't there.

ETA: It's just like the pictures were before the fix ... just not there.
