I installed Driphter dv10 yesterday, I am very satisfied with the speed but it seems like the battery and the radio are not so stable.

I heard alot of good things about the driphter releases so would like to stick with them. In your opinion, which one is the most stable?

Also, is it worth just to go to the constantly praised .419?

Your posting that question here?? Try posting it over on the Driphter site. You will get better response.

Personally, I like 8.2 but he just put out a 10.1 running 591/607. Loaded that one and testing now.

I like 419 based and have used all Driphter's hybrids. I'm using 8.2 for a day now and kinda like it. The only issue I have has has been low audio on blue tooth. I extracted the blue tooth cod from 484 and if def seems louder.

Dv8.2 for me. i too am waiting on 10.1 which is supposed to be based on .459, but for me the .419 build was solid & so is the hybrid based off of it. I like the old style lock since i use the autolock program, so that is also another reason y i am sticking with Dv8.2. 10.1 is supposed to have the old style lock so i will give it a try too.

I have 6.4 over .419, and have not had a single issue with it since the install over a month ago.

Alltel's .419 seems to be very solid, and IMHO VZW should have released their .419 at the same time. Of course, no PTT, but I don't want it/need it anyway. With Driphter's Dv6.4 over top Alltel's .419, I am a happy Tour user.

Driphters 6.4 over .419 was extremely stable for me as well. I just upgraded to Dv10 2 days ago over 591 and thinking about downgrading back to 6.4.

A hybrid with a bad base (.519) doesn't make sense. 6.4 was great, all this support for Verizon builds is a waste of time.

I still have Dv5.1 with .419 and .411. It works very well and the couple minor bugs I can live with.

Dripther has had some great hybrids. My favorites have been Dv 5.1, Dv 6.4, Dv 7.1 and Dv 8.2. I am testing 10.1.1 and so far it is working well. Keep in mind that hybrids can have different results for different phones. I would start with these to see which one works for you. Hope this helps.

I just installed 8.2. It definitely rocks. Bluetooth volume is a huge deal to me. Is there any way you could post or email to me that cod? I am tethered and really don't want to do a 100 MB download just to get the cod.

I've never modified a cod before. Do I use the "Modify Cod" tab in bbsak? If so, do I click "Install Cod" and browse to the cod? Will this change it directly on my bb or will I have to reinstall the entire os?

Sorry for all the questions, I've just never done that before.

Basically you download this cod from 484 and save it to your desktop. Then connect to bbsak and hit the modify cods tab. From there choose install cod. When the window pops up, direct it to the cod on your desktop. It will say cod installed before its actually done. This is normal also. Do not unplug the phone until you see your home screen on the phone. The phone may reboot.

If you have any problems for any reason, connect the phone back to bbsak, repeat the steps above, and direct it to the install of the 419 java folder on your pc and put back the net_rim_bluetooth.cod thats there. Its located at
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9630AMEA_v5.0.0.484_P4.2.0.214\Java\net_rim_ bluetooth.cod

This is the .484 bt cod
