Thanks to my bro iking and my big family over at bzone. We have now come to the next installment of the berrylicous series, V4, which supports multiple devices (9300, 97xx and 9800)

This hybrid uses 6.0.0.600 SFI, with the majority of 600 cods, with some of the 6.1.xx and 7.xx cods also, including the latest leaked 7.0.0.340 leak for the newer devices (system read to come)

The points of difference in this hybrid are:

    1. Less memory and battery drain, speedy boot up time, and speedy browser.
    2. Blackberry messenger hybrid by bro iking
    3. GPS, bluetooth, 3G and wifi locks faster than standard or leaked OS.
    4. Responsiveness.

This hybrid has been shrunk, you can shrink further at your own risk.

    Installation instructions:

    1. Download & Install Base Os6 for 9700/9800 (official/leaked)
    example: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700Asia_v6.0.0.534_P6.6.0.200\

    2. Delete "VENDOR.XML" in folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader\
    3. Wipe the entire base OS located in, for example: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700Asia_v6.0.0.534_P6.6.0.200\ ...(note, only delete what's INSIDE the folder)
    4. Download and install berrylicious multi.exe into the base OS folder, for example C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9700Asia_v6.0.0.534_P6.6.0.200\
4a. Download the appropriate SFI for your devices: and put it in a newly created UMTS folder within the loader folder.

    9700 SFI
    Mediafire BL4-9700.rar
Multiupload Multiupload.com - upload your files to multiple file hosting sites!

    5. Fully backup your blackberry with desktop manager, with radios off.
    6. Backup your apps using VNBButil/BBMC
    7. Wipe your device with JL_CMDR / BBSAK / VNBBUtil
    8. Run C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research in Motion\AppLoader\loader.exe
    9. Select what you need to install carefully to optimise free memory.
    10. With radios off, restore your apps and .ipd backup with dm, important as this is required by full BBM 6 hybrid to function, and then do a battery pull.
    11. Fully restore your backed up data, then do another battery pull. Before you turn your wireless back on, click on the blackberry messenger and confirm that all your contacts and groups are there.
    12. Enjoy your hybrid, give it a minimum of 4 hours before you do another battery pull.
    13. For best result, do 3 battery pulls a day, 6 hours a part for the first 48 hours.

Download your berrylicious fix here or here.

Fixed 9780 can be downloaded here, remove loader folder content of base OS, extract, all files and folders into it, and run apploader.

Fixed 9800 Installer can be downloaded here or multiupload

Please, 9300 users we need to test THIS installer

Klondyke and brickbreaker for 97xx attached.

If you MUST use a custom theme please put this ribbon app cod in the java folder before loading.

OK thanks. I will try that and see if that fixes the issue I had.
Also do you delete the folders and files in the loader folder or just the alx files?

You need to create the UMTS folder and then put the SFI folder in it. This will fix the issue and load correctly
    airbrnetravel likes this.

Well for whatever reason the 9700 version of BLV4 that I have didn't 'reinstall' a utms folder. So I loaded the base again then nuked everything under it BUT the utms folder (also deleted the base .sfi inside). Now it's loading... anxious to give it a go!

I should have added the extra steps about adding the UMTS folder. No issues otherwise, did you shrink further?
