When I install the exe to the java folder it's not asking me if I want to overwrite the existing files. What am I doing wrong?
If you are running with administrator priviledges then it may not do so.

    - Everything goes smoothly
    - Temperature cooler (best)
    - Browser slower than RC7B1

    After 8 hours reload
    2. BL 7.1 Ultimate Hybrid BL Returns v1.0.0 + 9790Asia_PBr7.1.0_rel2102_PL9.16.0.159_A7.1.0.746_ Taiwan_Mobile (small SFI)
    - Everything goes smoothly
    - Temperature a little warm
    - Browser same with RC7B1

    3. Maybe after few day i will try : base 746 + SFI 714 (small)

Good to hear you are having a good experience, we are working on a lightly different browser mix
as the newer cods are a bit slower.

just installed this hybrid return using .746 base os and large .714 SFI im getting alot of those small black clocks and hangs alot... is this normal? or a bad install?
I've experienced that on the first hours too.
It desappears while time passes by, after your first reboot (don't forget to reboot at night, and twice a day for the first 2 days - with a minimum delay of 6h between reboots).

    12 hours Moderate Use After Install 746large(rogers) + 714sfiLarge + Bl1.00 , Coming from 746uts + BL.100
    - battery life is much better , Previously when i was on 546 it used to have sudden battery drainage , then when i do a battery pull , there is more battery life , so far I havent seen this on this hybrid , I am not using meter berry this is based on me looking at the battery indicator
    - Those who are seeing that tiny black clock , this did happen to me within the first 4 hours of the install , and when I was reinstalling applications ( i dont backup my apps since they are all free ones anyway) , As time went they reduced in the frequency of appearance.
    - Was trying to reinstall viber and was frustrated , figured out it was something with the viber servers
    - Call quality is clear , if not slightly better
    - Apparently the settling is really important , the more number of battery pulls I have done , things seem to be working much smoother

Will watch it closely this week , Hopefully this one is stable enough before I travel again

I dunno but IF I have to compare

    [ BL Rtn ver 1.0.0 + 746 Lrg base + .714 Lrg sfi ] vs. [ RC-7B1 + .714 Lrg base + sfi ]

they're quite close. Personally - I still like the RC combo one.

what do you guys say ???

It really is a close call. between the two.

As each BL build is constructed I think that the scope for improvement gets smaller and smaller.

Interesting. I have installed .714 with RC7B1 on my BB9790 and it appears to be working with voip ok. I have not tried long voip calls but the short ones work. I use both Blackvoib and Vmobile on my BB9790.
I also have, on my BB9900, .746/large SFI/ Bl returns v1, and my bb9900 works using Blackvoib and FGvoip (although I have not extensively run long tests, rather just short phone calls in/out and it seems to work ok).
I am in Methuen, Ma, USA. I don't know if that helps. I am also on Tmobile which is GSM (cdma, from what I understand is a real biatch to get to work voip).

Also, with both Blackvoib and FGvoip, you can specify ports to use but don't seem to be able to do so with Vmobile.
Thanks barbarian for responding. Interesting that you got VMobile to work. Anything from 714 onwards does not work for me. I am talking with the VMobile team and they told me that from OS 7.1 onwards their audio was having some problems. I would want to try the other voip clients you mention. I am in europe and not in US and use a actionvoip account over wifi and BIS. Blackvoib is criminally expensive ($30) but I would like to try other voip clients along with their service if you can suggest them to work on these recent hybrids. My calls are also short but they are extremely important. The main problem with the builds is that the other party cannot hear me while I can hear them crystal clear.
Please let me know, I am counting on you.

Getting higher battery discharge on this one when using Bluetooth in the car than I did with RC7B1

As signal is slightly stronger with this build I guess it must be a little more power hungry on Bluetooth.

Any chance of addressing this on V2 guys ?
I am having the same issue with BT chewing through the battery as I usually leave it on as I'm in and out the car often and ofcourse my Playbook bridged. I am using Rogers .746 base and sfi.

I had a weird blackberry episode today. When I got to my college, my provider suddenly switched from Tmobile to AT&T. My ADR shot up and fluctuated around the upper teens and although I had just done a battery pull 2 hrs before, tiny meter was suddenly saying that my phone had been on for 18hrs plus. And since loading the hybrid (after 3 tries) when I go to DM applications tab it's completely blank. Any idea what happened? Is it normal for every hybrid I've loaded the ADR stays around 5-6% with light usage even when idle overnight? Is it connected to the hybrid o.O?

Only extra apps are Brickbreaker and tiny meter v1.3. I'm running BL returns with large .746 OS + large .714 sfi

Different BB, different people, different usage pattern. Wait for it to settle, might as well be better than this.

key point to get ADR below 1%

    1) set battery saving mode always on, this automatic lower your BB brightness and timeout
    2) choose between 3G or 2G only
    3) disable browser push
    4) disable storage compression
    5) shrink shrink shrink

just do these and I assure you get ADR below 1%, provided you loaded the hybrid correctly.

    Yes there is.
In Options, press "Alt" and write BBDA.
Then you go to Options, Device, Advanced System Settings, Battery Tests. Click in Battery drainning too quickly.
It will start analysing you ADR, and after a few hours (better 1 day), it will show you exactly what's drainning your battery.

But Yes, Facebook, Twitter and BBM are huge battery-drainners.

I have been using BT to connect to the Car Kit and also to stream music and my battery life has been netter than most of
    our previous builds.

Did you do a full wipe before install? I may be having issues if you didnt.
