What issues are you having with browser?

    Already 36 hours install BerryLicious Returns for 9790 with : 9790Asia_PBr7.1.0_rel2102_PL9.16.0.159_A7.1.0.746_ Taiwan_Mobile + SFI 714 (large).
All goes smooth but browser not good compared with RC7B1.
Maybe in a few days i would try with SFI 746

The alx is for 9900 not 9930. You need to edit your 649 platform alx and add the single line where the rest of the modules are.

Thanks. I thought I had it this time, it even booted but then during restore of data, I got app error 602. Trying to reboot now to see if it will boot. I can always use back up to restore data.

Ok quick run down of my experience , of installing .746 + BL with 714LargeSfi (gratitude to everyone;s assistance) , coming from 746Base and BL1.00.

    1. Downloaded the SFI file from user on this forum , downloaded Rogers 746 , followed instruction in replacing SFI. Success
    2. Connected BBSAK to fone , and did wipe . Success
    3. Removed vendor.xml manually. Success
    - Installed BL1.00 ( nice looking installer btw ) . Success
    4. Ran Apploader to run install -
    - First I get this Device Application Version Check , and I didnt know what to do , So chose the second option which was something like Keep Old Files something , Clicked next , installer
started working , but to my horror , half way throuh , got some error that it couldnt connect to the device. Fail
    - Second attempt connected device to bbsak , wiped , and ran apploader , (but forgot to close bbsak ) , This time didnt get Device Application Version Check , clicked next , after 75%
precent install , some error saying that device cant connect Fail
    - Third attempt , BBSAK wipe and closed , Ran apploader (hung in between during startup ) , but then worked , This time full install happened , very fast , no Device Application Version
    Version Check.

    Finally , .746 Large (Rogers) + .714LargeSfi installed.

First impression, Bootup is really really long , i was tempted to remove the battery and restart it , which I did , then still took same time.

    under. observation

    Thanks every one

I was able to get this to work on the 9930 by injecting a couple additional files. Later I added these to Platform.alx and reloaded successfully again. Everything is working OK for me now.

net_rim_bb_phone_qchatptt_resources.cod was not sufficient. I was getting the 602 errors at the end of bootup that others have mentioned.

These are the other files I injected that were present in the 9900/.746 Platform.alx that weren't present in the 9930/.649 Platform.alx.

I'm not sure if they are all necessary, I did it all at once.

    net_rim_bb_phone_qchatptt_resources.cod
    net_rim_escreen_repository.cod
    net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_layout480x640.cod
    net_rim_nuance.cod
    net_rim_speech.cod
    net_rim_speech_data_en_US.cod

If somebody wants to troubleshoot, I'd start with just net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_layout480x640.cod maybe. This was kinda odd:

    On 9900/.746: net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_layout480x640.cod
    On 9930/.649: net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_layout360x480.cod

I left net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_layout360x480.cod from .649 on the phone.

    Thanks!

    Edit:

If you add your platform alx, I will post the files on first post specifically for the 9930 when I get out of bed.

    Thanks!

I had a gut feeling about this one, but never thought it would have mattered.

    But obviously did.

The virtual keyboard should only affect the navbar on the map.

Nuance and speech are for vad, so it may have mattered also.

I will post this on 1st post.

You need to be the administrator of the pc.

not that this matters as i've already done it (used ifrasers pre-made one), but when i also tried to change the code it said access denied and i am the administrator of my laptop. is there a way to make sure you've got full control?

IRH 7.1 is bbm hybrid by BL and the team just copy and paste it into your MMC and run .jad. Or, you can use bbsak or bbhtool to install the .jad
Just trying to catch up here... I have a 9900, if using the BBM Hybrid do we still need to edit the .ALX file to .56?

Zocs, I have already updated official BBM .56 from app world. Do you suggest still to install this hybrid BBM IRH7.1? BL Returns is now stabilised on my 9860. In idle, battery temp is some time 14 degree, which is just unbelievable. Never got temp so low on my device earlier. Battery Drain ia also 2-3% in light usage. Overall it is the best among all BL hybrids.

Thanks fahar! Backup will definitely be done. Now I just need to decide if I should use 714 Voda or 746 Rogers SFI and I'm good to go.

Does anyone know if I back up apps originally installed through appworld and install offline, will future updates show up in appworld?

    Anybody with 9790?
As many others Im running into the same trouble: 602 error
Adding that line only (net_rim_bb_phone_qchatptt_resources.cod) just wont go.
    Using .714 as base.

I have installed Porsche theme on 9860 alongwith BL returns. I like the Porsche theme but Message & Text Msg screen is being displayed by small font while opening of individual mails or text are displayed in selected font. I understand this theme is by OSBB. Any other user using Porsche theme has noticed it. Is there any new improved version of this theme available?

The files in rooth folder are alx, if you have .746 use them. Then you have two folders, umts and java. You should extract, copy past the hybrid to the Java folder.

Practically, it means do nothing. Just install the BL return and you are ready to go!
provided that you want .714 fat .sfi, there's an additional step. That is, copy paste .714 sfi over .746 sfi. Easy peasy

Getting higher battery discharge on this one when using Bluetooth in the car than I did with RC7B1

As signal is slightly stronger with this build I guess it must be a little more power hungry on Bluetooth.

Any chance of addressing this on V2 guys ?
