I came across a problem using BBH Tool, shrunk OS fine but would not connect to back up apps! looked for a solution and found this

The reason BBSAK, or BBH Tool will not detect your BlackBerry device, is BlackBerry Dev Manager, which is located in Windows Task Manager>Processes> needs to be stopped from running.

Look for BlackBerry Dev Manager in the Process Description, kill the process by right click, and scroll to End Process.

What this does is effectively make room for your BlackBerry device to use another program, such as BBSAK, or BBH Tool with no re-connection issues.

There is no RC8. This is the new name / version of previous build by BL and the Team. Yeah, you can call this RC8 if you want to but, no, this is BL Returns!

I dont always back up my apps / 3rd apps using bbhtool or bbsak. I recommend you to install it one by one. Its alot easier to determine wether theres error or not. Its a pain in the but i bookmarks, saved all the offline installer for all the apps i need.

Hey Slayohslay, is the blackberry .alx posted by Zocter on first post is a hybrid BBM?
if yes, what significant different have you notice after installing a hybrid BBM?
will it lower down ADR, memory or temparature like hybrid os did?

I dont see any alx posted by zocster on the front page. Only the offline installer for BBM hybrid made by them. Its not alx, its .jad. You have to run it using your bb. Save it on your mmc, then run the .jad file. Yes, bbm hybrid is like Hybrid OS. It performs better on adr, mdr, scrolling tru bbm contacts and as per overall performance. I dont know much on how it performs, was thinking it is just a myth lol. Why dont you give it a try? i know i never use Official BBM now and anymore haha. My Operating System is hybrid, so do BBM!

    Yeah! Thanks!
By the way, instead of saving it on my mmc, I loaded it with bbsak, reckon that save more work

i don't think it's laziness, i think it's practical! and also better for those who aint as technically minded, i'm ok at what i know but just because i'm installing hybrids doesn't mean i automatically have all this knowledge to go with it. we're all still learning

thanks for putting this up, (the .zip/.jad file) i didn't actually know that was aimed at my question of how to install this!

thanks again everyone who makes these hybrid os's possible and to all that help us with our questions ASAP!

p.s - getting really good results so far, -2 ADR when idle, -5 when heavy usage is happening.. and it probably hasn't even settled yet (.746 base, large vodafone .714 sfi)

Well, a few days on BL returns, used 746 base and "fat" 714 sfi... Smooth and fast as usual in the Team builds.
Adr quite good for early days, mdr almost unexistant. Another brilliant hybrid!
    Thank You Bl Team!

IRH 7.1 is bbm hybrid by BL and the team just copy and paste it into your MMC and run .jad. Or, you can use bbsak or bbhtool to install the .jad

Has anyone successfully loaded this onto their 9930? I am trying to load this. I think I did everything correctly. Clean install of 649. Ran the BL installer. Replaced the platform alx with the edited one and checked to make sure it had the necessary cod. Deleted the vendor file. When I run apploader I get to the point where it shows what will be upgraded/downgraded etc. I check the modules and the new files are there. When I click next I get the following error message: "The application "Email Setup library" cannot be loaded because some required files are not available."

Any ideas as to what is wrong or how to correct this?

    Thanks.

2 days on BL Returns and this has to be the best build ever for me!
Temp 17C. ADR settled very quickly to around 2%. MDR zero. Call and audio quality is the best! Noticed big improvement with .714 Large over .658 and .523 sfi. Very smooth and fast including we browsing too!! Looking forward to better results in the next few days
