Use BBHtools, click phone tools, click connect, click read (under file system), highlights (blue color)older version cods in the right box, click remove (under .COD Files), and you're done.

I haven't read about anyone else having this problem but is anyone having issues opening up email attachments? When I click on the attachment in the email nothing happens. I currently have a 9900 running v.4

    thank you

Have you accidentally not installed docs to go ?

If you didn't overwrite the Base OS Java with the Hybrid files it may well have been pre shrunk so if you deleted the base Java and just pasted the Hybrid files docs to go may well not have been installed.

    Man,
I am having horrible reception with this...I have tried going from the original OS and the 9900M_v7.1.0.694_P5.1.0.507_BL_ATT_fullos release...I started with version 2 which was great...V3 was a notch up but then this one just plagues me with disconnected calls.....Going back to the original 9900M_v7.1.0.694_P5.1.0.507_BL_ATT_fullos and will step up again....see what happens...

I've just reinstalled V4 and checked the email attachment, it worked Ok. Did you shrink your OS?, if yes maybe you accidentally delete attachment cod. And if you didn't shrink your OS, I think you have a bad install, wipe your phone and reinstall V4.

If you didn't shrink your OS, it must be a bad install, I tried open up a few attachments and all opened up fine.

Maybe you can wipe your device before reinstalling V4, IMO V4 is better than V3, fast and stable, wifi and signal locking are also pretty good.

Hi, as a BL staff member and tester I can tell you I have just
Sent myself an email with a pdf attachment and will now include the screenshot when I opened it:

Please install a fresh copy of 694 and then re extract the v4 mix over the top of the java.

Then is you shrink it make sure you don't shrink any of the "to go" apps.

Let us know how you get on.

I also discovered today I am havimg the identical email attachment problem - cannot open to view, cannot download to device.

I do have Docs2Go installed - it opens Word, Excel and PDFs that are already on the device.

And I am quite sure I did not shrink out the attachment cod - I use the same shrink criterion everytime - and I did not have this problem on V1 or V2.

After giving v4 a run I discovered v1-3 worked better for my UMA so I went back to v3, but the v4 seem to work fine in every other aspect. My experience is isolated.

Could the email attachment problem be network/carrier related - I doubt Sator and Ian are on ATT, don't know what carrier hamanwho is on - but I am on ATT. Could there be a .746 cod that doesn't play well with ATTs network?

I know this is the AT&T hybrid and I had good results with prior AT&T builds on this thread but I'm finding the 746 sfi ( and BL. Returns) is generating terrific signal strength on Rogers. I have a feeling the answer is no but is there a way to use V4 with either the 746 base or sfi only?

Yes, we're not on ATT, I think I'll start to make V4A to solve the attachment issues that some users are experiencing it, V4A will be a lil bit different than V4 and I hope it also runs better.
