    Pardon me, RC5A

lmao....it is RC5Alpha and the sfi is still 523 but if you want to replace feel free.

Beta will not be until we can replace the radio with a newer version that appears to improve it.

hi! i have a 9790 and recently upgraded my OS to 7.1.0.569 hoping to extend my phone's short and crappy battery life...

however there's not much improvement. 6-8 hours with minimal use and mostly on standby with everything off and dimmed (3G, wi-fi, BT, location, push, 10 brightness).

would this hybrid OS fix or even improve this issue?

    thanks!!!

You should find the hybrid makes a good difference depending on your usage, however the only way to find out is to give it a go.

Obviously you would be better trying the most recent RC5a mix as it uses the newest OS files.

True, but some of us just don't have the capability to do much more.

Making hybrids is an art, and you are a true artist.

You will probably find some remain, it all depends which cods appear more efficient.

sorry, it was the original file label for the 9900 file i used. Yes it only the java, however
we have discovered some if the apps, bbm, twitter, facebook might give app errors as the alx file are different.

    Sorry folks,

The FB beta is not the latest version either. Suggest you not to tick it during install.

    Again, result of rushing ...

Lots happening on this thread ! Great !!

@Phill, was just wondering and wanted to ask you this morning on what RC you were on and now i know, you have created your own brew !

Well, i am still on the Ancient RC4 and it is still kind of up and down and not consistent but since i said i will give it a longer run am commited to it and to be honest i am kind of scared to test any other hybrid apart from Zocs brew ! Leave the experts to do what they know.
I would also add that Hybrids is not just playing with cods as someone mentioned but it is rather playing with it the Right Way !

Now that the Offical for 9900 is just round the corner, i will stick with RC4 before any further updating.

I had the RC2 and 3 on my 9790 and RC2 gave me the best results, i had .569 base with the .523sfi. You can try this combination, it was Awesome for me and hope it will be for you too !!!!

I had shrinked the OS before i loaded RC4 with base .649, i has shrinked all other languages and BBHtools gave info that i had shrunk 146 MB but as per meterberry i have only added 30MB to application memory. Can someone please tell me how or what i did wrong in not adding the whole 146MB to application memory ?

After the OS footprint you then have any apps you install on top of it.
