With the RC13 I used SFI 746 and I was fine, believe that the RC14B work just as well with SFI 746?

    Yes it WILL work!!

Hey guys quick question, which of the two versions do I used on my Curve 9320 on OS 7.1.0.865, thanks!!
Okay...I do not mean to sound like an @$$hole, but just READ!

I posted the links again and the version you want is, RC14B for .86x & .9xx sfi (except ,862), because you're using .865 as the base! See how I did that?

    Here are the links:
    RC14B for .86x & .9xx sfi (exept .862 sfi) RC14B for .86x & 9xx SFI (exept .862).rar

    RC14B for Non .86x & .9xx sfi
    RC14B for Non .86x & .9xx SFI.rar

Just wanted to say thanks to these great hybrid builders. Got my Z10 yesterday and was able to sell my 9930 on ebay. So no more hybrids for now. Thanks for making my 9930 run the best that it could.

    Hi
I have Rc13+861 and its working flawless!!! But in two days i lose 90Mb!!!!! Is there a way to stop memory leak?

    Thanks
The best way to answer your question is with this simple equation: JAVA = MEMORY LEAKS. There is no way to eliminate memory leaks in java code, but if you stop checking the memory, eventually you will forget about it. Don't waste your time worrying about something you can do nothing about!

It is also probably still settling, insure you do the recommended battery pulls as well!

To restate what bimmer said, you will always have SOME sort of memory drain/leak on java handhelds...its easter, don't stress over this silliness lol.

I'd like to test the sfi, but we have gotten the java, I can't complain about it. When it hits, I gotta switch the sfi, and I'm good to go.

It would be nuts if something higher gets released, in anticipation for a .912 exe LOL

RC 13 over .861 is treating me very well on my 9370, is there anything that should make me load RC 14, other than my OCD. LOL

I just load whatever is dropped in front of me...BUT, I haven't touched the first RC14 they pushed out. I immediately loaded the 14B when they dropped it in the testers group! This is possibly the mix of mixes! Sator went off with this!

Now the only reason, aside from the OCD is, its just stupidly fast, insanity in one word, if you will. Give it a shot, you won't regret it!

To tell you the truth I have never had a bad or even sub-par experience with these hybrids. I have been using them since RC 8 and they are always awesome. My 9370 is my company provided phone and my co-workers always ask me why I never have any trouble with my blackberry, I just say Berrylicious but they have no idea what im talking about. You all do great work and testing for us. I thank you all very much.

Question Sator. i wish to run 14B on my 9900 however, the 861 sfi does not work well on my carrier (ATT in USA) 825 runs much cooler, and has signal where 861 would run HOT, and have no signal in places. anyway, which you reccomaen as base, 825 base with 825 sfi, or 861 base with 825 sfi? i know both ways require the non 86x or 9xx sfi versions of 14b. Is a shame 861 sfi did not work for us, while was on it, had exellent memory recovery. Was not a bad load, it was same on my GF's 9900 as well and yes we wipe before loading os. ty in advance

I can answer that for you!

I'd use BASE .861 with the .825 SFI, just use the proper version, and happy loading!!!!

Thanks, please wait BL users...don't install the sfi until we confirm that it's working, since the file name is different than the regular sfi. Right now Sharma is modifying the sfi file name...

No problem guys. I really am clueless as to what you do with the files, and how they are "supposed" to be named, so I just grabbed it directly from the cached download folder. The exact path was this -- "C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Research In Motion\Application Loader\Cache\0762d0ebb3df98bce762c6a576107c982519b 98f\UMTS" for the sfi that I found. I didn't rename it or anything, I'm just sure it's how DM does it.

Anyways, let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

EDIT: I downloaded RC14B, wiped my phone with BBSAK, had DM do a "repair install" of .912 when it couldn't connect to my 9900, and when it was done downloading the OS files and the phone was rebooting to start the actual install, I quickly copied over/replaced the cods from RC14B, and DM installed those as if it were stock. It actually worked, LOL! I'm restoring my stuff from a backup now, and will report back on how it is doing.

Sator showed me how to check the SFI version, checked it for him, and all is well! Because we don't have the FULL .912 we need certain alx files so we can use the untouched sfi. It was named the same except for a 'j' at the end before .sfi, Sator said remove the 'j' and we walked through to see if it would update it, and it would. Give me about 20 minutes as I am wiping and reloading with the .912 sfi file!!

Yeah, the only .alx file I can find on my whole computer (outside the RC14B folder) is "net_rim_bb_bbvegas.alx" in a folder named "MediaSyncMobile". Grrrr... Why must they make it so difficult for us addicts??? LOL!

Anyways, my little experiment that I described in my previous post is coming along nicely so far. No uncaught exceptions or errors or anything. Reloading my apps now. So far so good.
