thanks all - i changed themes from dark apprentices mini banner back to stock and it fixed it, then i reactivated the theme and problem gone...

so another question, if i install a base, delete everything out of it and put the rc5b2 files in there does it matter at all which base i installed? considering i have put all new files into the directory?

Already got .658 installed. Hope that the .sfi is half decent, sure that the team are already testing.

Just waiting for the next RC6 Java !!!
Same here, got the pure OS .658 installed.
Decent sfi., good signal locking and cool ( hovering around the 20 degrees mark).
Though i miss the quick browser speeds and lightning fast reboot but had to check this one out to know the difference, My 9790 still has the BL5b2 and is working very well.

I will get back to the RC6 when the next OS is released.

Yeah, i doesnt matter because you already overwrite the existing files with the rc5b2 files

It's been almost 24hrs on .714 on 9860. battery drainage is very stable. temp at one moment of time, I noticed it was 17 degree. Amazing! signal is better and locking quickly. I hope, this performance would further improve with RC6 or RC7 (hope). Waiting for it!

Rc5b2 so good I have to comment.
I used to get 10% loss of battery in 22mins max but with rc5b2 on 9320/7.1.0.569 with .569 sfi, I now get 10% battery loss in 71 mins with 3G, some browsing on opera mini and browser, bbm , twitter, docs2go, battery saver set to always on, 20 second dim and 10% backlight, automatic dim on. etc.
    This is amazing and shocking!

I uninstalled my os from pc,
    ran ccleaner,
    re-installed the .569 os,
    Delete vendor.xml file,
Copied rc5b2 java to replace my os java files,
Ran bbh tools to shrink 87mb from os,
Ran loader.exe and let it automatically backup and restore all my apps and applications settings.

Simple. I did not wipe nor manually install apps.

I did this on sunday , did a battery pull, every 6 hours(to the best of my ability) since then and watched the performance improve over time till date.

I don't think there are negative effects if you don't do a battery pull for 6 hours per se, as long as you manage to pull it....that sounds dirty LMAO

You could always drop a BL Java into the .658 and see what results you get.

At least the browser would be back to normal !

This time just wanted to check what the official OS can do on its own........i know will be back in a couple of days and by that time maybe the next BL6 would also be ready...........this OS is fairly ok for now but know i am deprived, its a concious call

That was actually my plan this morning, but decided to wait on the new mix 1st

It is being very carefully created to get the best out of the phones,

Very true, However, 714 is a leak and 658 is Official, so the chance are the radio on 714 could be rubbish....lol

Although it would be good to have it appear.

At least .658 radio seems to run cool with the standard Java which has to be encouraging.

My rc5b2 has been settling since sunday, the phone has been idle for the last 5 hours and it is not plugged in battery drain is at zero%??

-Is RC5b2 really this good or just a problem with the device analyzer? Hehe

I have had RC5B2 idle at 0% but the longest period I have seen is 3 hours with zero drain from full charge.

When idle, RC5B2 ADR is around 0.3% per hour...

Excatly the reason why i decided to wait till the new brew is out.......since the .658 is a decent OS, the BL mix would be Awesome and worth the wait.
