For those of you with language issues I would recommend using a full multi-language OS as the base and leave the java directory,

Over write the Java with the Hybrid Java then re-shrink using one of the tools available (BBH/BBsak) leaving the language that you require.

This at least means you are not having to mess about installing cod files after you have loaded the OS.
I did exactly as you suggest, I took the base of the v. 649, I left him alone with the Italian language BBHT v2.4.9.7b, and pasted the RC5b. Despite this, the menu options is not fully translated. I must also say that with previous versions (RC2-3-4), this did not happen. Remedies?

Well, that's the easiest. I know that will work. I spent some time today installing multilang firmware and shrinking it for the language cods. Then I compared the cods that I have know with the cods that I got from multilang os. I do have 100% language cods installed. So there is some other cod(s) that makes it working. I don't think I will be re-installing the os, but from the other hand I am on leave for these two weeks so I have plenty of time for the experiments.

Sorry to insist ifraser, but since i've alreadey loaded de os, isn't there a way to just "insert" PT language?
(only need it to write bbm, email or sms, don't need the os, get it? only the dictionary)

I can see where both of you are coming from about reloading but honestly, it would take you 30-40mins max and give you exactly what you need.

As long as you backup every thing ok there should be no data issues.

I understand reloading might sound like a big task but believe me, trying to pickout all the language cods might take you longer.

I will ask zoc if he has any ideas or has the cods to hand.

I can back up, wipe, java swap, shrink and load OS/hybrid, and restore in about 30-35 minutes now, without missing a beat.

I can do it in less also but for people that arent used to the process it would take a little bit longer.

I remember when I first started doing it....it felt like ages, roughly an hour if not longer. Now it's like second nature lol. It'll come with time for those who are new to this.

Amazing Hybrid! Installed with relative ease since I used to be a hybrid fanatic back in the OS6 days. Great battery life which easily lasts me 12 hours with hundreds of BBMs messages, 50 texts, browsing, bluetooth, and a couple of calls. Twitter refresh set to 30 mins and weather updates every 1.5 hours.

Take it off the charger at 7:00am and come home around 6pm with ~50% left.

    Thanks for all your efforts!

    Same here...
With .523 SFI and .649 full Java, its all ok.
    Only with RC5b this happens...

With basic 649, lightened, I copied the RC5b with SFI 649, it does.
But even with 523 SFI does. I think it is the base 649 is wrong.

For the 9900 you have the choise of the following:

    7.1.0.523
    7.1.0.569

    and the leaked 7.1.0.649

We recommend the 7.1.0.523 radio as it has been the most reliable on for
    most people.

    BL Ultimate OS6 rel 1.0.0 w/o SFI

A treat for all those OS6 handset users out there who have been waiting patiently.

    Download and Enjoy.
Just catching up on the thread, good news for all the OS6 users out there.

    Just a thought Zocs/Ian

Might it be a good idea to post the OS6 version as a new thread.

Given the size of this one i'd hate to see the new hybrid get overlooked by potential users because it's buried so deep in this thread.

Might also simplify queries that arise bearing in mind that we have already had the odd misunderstanding in this thread due to the multitude of devices it supports.
