it will settle on its own...
u have just installed it..
give it a few hours to settle..
will be just fine
os is settling in a bit..
4% drain on very low usage..
good sign.. :)
As per the Advance OS and LED questions, it is mind boggling at first. Just fudge around with the settings and all that stuff, it was all trial and error for me. At the end of the day I wonder where this app was all my life lol this thing is beast! coupled with this RC4 we should test the OS for 'performance enhancing drugs' it does too good a job LOL
If you did not empty your recycle bin, you can restore the 2 .cod files and the .alx. Then use Loader.exe to install.
In all my mess I managed to lose visual voice mail, so I recovered vvm and brickbreaker this way. A BlackBerry just isn't a BlackBerry without brickbreaker to me :P
I have no games on my device  a few pages back I have a screen shot of all the stuff I shrunk out of the OS, it is a pure work device more times than none for me lol. I got sick of brickbreaker, I rage deleted it hahahahahahahah
Been using this for over a week and the performance has really taken a downturn.
It is ALWAYS freezing, also the discharge on idle is too high.
I'm going back to previous OS.

Whoa I wouldn't know why, unless you didn't do the required battery pulls, or it wasn't a clean install. I idle on 2.7% and this is day 1 with RC4...try a clean install or even stick with RC3 if anything.
Which hybrid and .sfi you running on? You should try the latest mixed from ZocS , here is the link for dakota full OS RC4B9900M_v7.1.0.649_P5.1.0.480.zip This mix is much better than official OS
Lol, it's not a bad thing. I don't use my BB for much gaming either. If you want it, add it. If not, its already cut out. With .284 my BB was filled with stuff i didn't use. Zoc provides good OS's. RC3/RC4 comes down to the stuff I actually use. And as far as I can remember or got to know of BlackBerry, it always had brickbreaker. Like the old Nokia's with snake. :)
You're correct, BlackBerry's come with brickbreaker loaded, but i don't really play it as often as I did back in '08 when i had my 9000.

I got you. As it seems only me and James9900 play it. hahaha
You should give a little more info(ex. OS/RCx?), there are plenty of people that will help you on this thread.
The first and only issue I had was my wifi not working. I wiped reloaded and was good to go. Try to load again and let it settle along with a few battery pulls.

Thanks, I actually did an overwrite of RC4 Java, UMTS and .alx into .649 i did not empty it first. I then shrunk, so its odd. Must be a flaw with BBH tools. I will try and find the related .cods and .alx and try what you said. Cheers.

As everyone knows, there is a problem for AT&T users (9810 and 9900) in certain areas of the US, on any 7.1 OS higher than .391 - where the person you talk to you can not hear you (the mic problem).
I was just speculating - since RC4 contains some .cods from .284, .342 and .391 - might RC4 work with an sfi from .284, .342 or .391?
I know that generally one can not use .cods that are "too many series" newer with older sfi files - but again, since some of the RC4 .cods are pre .4XX, maybe it might work.
If someone from one of the known "bad cities" could try this, that person and Zoc would be revered by those of us AT&T subscribers forever . . . for those of us AT&T subscribers who either live in a "bad city" or travel to them, we are stuck on using .3XX versions of 7.1
Following is a list of the "good" and "bad" cities:
MIC REPORTS FROM CITIES USING .4XX and .5XX OS's ON AT&T:
There were no mic problems reported from anyone in:
So. California, Chicago, Louisville, Miami, Raleigh (NC), and Texas
Mic problems were reported in the following areas:
Baltimore, Boise, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Eugene (OR), New Jersey, NY, Central PA, Philly, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, St. Louis, Wilmington (DE), Washington DC, Wisconsin, and Minneapolis
If I was living in the 'problem' areas, I'd gladly give you feedback. I'm intrigued to see if this hybrid fixes the said issue about the mic cutting out. Kind of a bummer, but I'm sure there's hope for you out there!
Thanks, sharma - this hybrid won't fix the problem - the problem lies in the incompatibility between .4XX and higher sfi files, and certain of At&T's network equipment and/or equipment configurations in certain parts of the country.
The only way RC4 will fix the problem is if it can be run with an sfi from something lower than .4XX
Dang! That must be a kick to the jewels for you.
That's why that was an alpha release lol
