Did you delete YouTube .alx ? Could be it ?
I deleted all base Java and just used RC4 which is why I lost the ringtones.
All sorted thanks to Zocs.
Cant be doing with anymore updates just yet LMAO
so far RC4 has been doing well on 523 sfi. I have noticed though that there are a bit more spinning clocks especially when the battery gets low. The 649 sfi was faster with browsing and downloading files than 523.
omg same lmao i have left my phone alone today
Hi guys. I know everyone is talking about RC4, but I've just installed RC3. When going into FaceBook its asking for a key. This is the beta version am I right? Will I have to register for beta zone to acquire the key or is there a standard key that someone might be able to assist me with?
Thanks
yeaah but no go :(
i didn't delete all java and still had no ringtones so i think it was something in the medialoader file that i replaced..
Ria do you use UMA ?
If you need to reinstall youtube then go to rroyy.com he has an OTA installer for it.
Sounds like the .523 radio is the favourite just now.
I also liked the speed from the 642 radio but it has no many bad point that have shown their faces over the last day: Random reboots, Battery life drastically reduced.
I use UMA in the house but today i left it off to check how the battery life went without it. It went from good to really bad this afternoon.
UMA is great for saving battery but would rather the radio was economical with the battery in 3G mode :)
Cant say Iv'e seen a reduced browser/download speed, possibly because i use wifi at home? Its been 15 hours since start up this morning and have %37 battery left!
Well battery wasn't bad at all for me. Took it off charge at 1AM this morning and put it back on at 21:15. Had 7% battery left.
where can i download RC4 ??
and what are the steps i must do ?
can i install leaked 7.1.0.649 ??
i have a torch 9810 btw
OK - I got round to installing it on 9900.
1. Download to Desktop & extract.
2. Connect DM & hit "Applications"
3. Click IMPORT & select CaptureNux ALX file
4. APPLY
5. Sit back & let it load
Manual Reboot & select CaptureNux for "convenience" key
Thanks to Zocs - once again for this one !!
no the thing is i DONT want youtube lol! i shrunk it out orginal os and made sure it wasn't in zocs but it just appeared on my phone and i dont know why!
uma, is wifi? i only use it if i want my net to work fast if i'm at home leave it off cause i'm on me laptop
No, UMA or wifi calling as it is on the 9900 is this... What Is Wi-Fi Calling? | Wi-Fi Calling
not sure if you guys picked up on a bug or not in RC2, might be in RC3 n RC4 still.
In, In-call Settings > Restrict My Identity I have it set to "Always" but yet when i call someone my number still shows up.
This has not been the case with official OS.
Can you please advised?
was using the .649 earlier
now - moved to zocs RC4α | .523 sfi
its much faster .. WoW !!
Finally after testing sfi of .569, 649 and .523 (large & Small), I have settled with .523 (Small) on RC4. My 9860 working much better and yes, .523 radio is much cooler compare to .649 and signal strength and locking is almost same.
No issues here? Just tested.

I don't see RC4 in the first post but I do see many recent references to RC4.. and very good ones. Is it still in alpha?
About 20 pages ago there is post with the link.
You can find it HERE also
I am planning to download and give it a try as well ;)
Zocster has promised to upload java files of RC4 to be used for other devices. I have extracted java files from RC4 released for 9900 and pasted in OS base .523. Luckily it is working fine.
