Is is true that no more 7.1 OS updates are going to be released?
Using 7.1.0.907 with 9790 so far, working great. If anyone else tried a different combination and had different results, let me know :)
7.1.0.972 7.1.0 b2651 is the next one on the horizon
.972 eh???

huh?
Mozilla/5.0 (BlackBerry; U; BlackBerry 9900; en) AppleWebKit/534.11+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/7.1.0.972 Mobile Safari/534.11+
A new OS...
not even sure if that's for real...
interesting what's next after the 9xx :D
2c has listed the bundle package as well....I'll lean towards thinking this is legitimate. Sometimes people such as 2c, even myself and others will see/hear things about OS .xxx for argument's sake, but then .xx1 comes out not .xxx we were all looking at. @ 2c where did you happen to see this little jewel?
Well, I don't know if 2c has other, better information sources, as there can be so many possibilities here...
But if you would be looking for the 'spotted' OS versions out there, have a look here:
Welcome to PTCRB
You can use the search function, and depending on the number of models, you will be presented with different options, e.g. for 9900 you will get 3 models, and the last seen OS for one of them is .923 Welcome to PTCRB
The mentioned .972 was also spotted for 9360 DC71UW, RDC72UW :
Welcome to PTCRB
EDIT: @Sharma: I guess that regarding your question the answer might be that the OS gets spotted while in the internal carrier testings, and then it doesn't get released due to whatever reasons might the carrier have, as unfortunately those reasons are kept away from us, mere mortals, exactly as the official list of improvements...
Oh okay, so that would be a java swap from the 9360.
if you goys check one thing in ptcrb .907 was never certified for 9790 and 9360 still its a major hit and released by several carriers.
Hope we are going to see new releases soon!
Been a while
give or take it will be 1 to 2 months wait before you see it.
assumption based on the pattern and timeline between previous certifications and releases.
Now, my Bold 9900 running OS7.1.0.923 + Berrylicious Ultimate RC15 ! Thank you berrylicious hybrid builder !
how is the performance?
This is my first time to test this Hybrid. I'll update after a week.
Hi,
My 9900 is running 7.1.0.923 + BL RC15. Install went without a hitch and am very happy with the way its running. Haven't had the 9900 for more than a week, so cannot comment on battery life yet, but there definitely is a noticeable improvement. Its day 3 now. Will keep you posted on my observations.
Have a couple of queries:
1. I have Facebook, Googletalk and Whatsapp set to show new messages in the 'Messages' app. But, though I get a notification in the notification area, Messages does not show a notification. It notifies for email and SMS correctly. Is this normal?
2. I'm on a pay-as-you-go plan and receive an operator message with my balance after every call or SMS. This is accompanied by a very loud notification audio which i cannot seem to turn off or reduce level. I thought this was a 'level 1' notification, but changing those settings does not seem to have any effect. Anyone have an idea of how I could mute this?
Thanks in advance!!
when you plugh in yoru charger do you hear the same loud sound?
I feel we might just see OS 8 for our devices :D
My oservation:
BBM 7 came and after that blackberry launched BBM 7.1 just like os 7 and os 7.1
And today, there is BBM 8.0.0.44 in the betazone!! Just feel that its a sign of os 8
That's BBM channel, not BBM
EDIT : i mean Blackberry Channel
It replaces BBM. Complete new UI.
Attached a screenshot for proof
Oh..i was thought they're different app...
Sounds cool..
thanks rgash
forget about os8
os 7 was planned till the launch of os10.
guess what?
you need to stop thinking and start reading, your best bet is to outsource your thinking to some one else.
