So do I need to wipe it with bbhtools?I gues there will be difference?It might clear more storage?

No need to re wipe your phone unless you have a problem with it eg. laggy, your batt. drains very fast etc., it won't give you more storage (shrinking the OS will give you more storage) , bbhtools erases all the java cods so your phone will be erased twice (1st with bbhtools and the 2nd one with the app. loader), this is one of the method to prevent bad install, ofcourse there are other factors that can cause bad install, like bad USB cable, bad registries on your pc etc.

Just currious, did your device actually show the correct date and time?
Coz once i experience that my device don't show the correct time after hybrding.
It was happen when i turn off all the signal (suggested by other forum) before hybriding. And when it was done, the device shown the time before it was hybridize. It was about 5-10 minutes late. I wait for a whole day assuming that the time will synchronize by it self (I put to automatically synchronize in the setting). but I was wrong. I connect the device with BDM when it usually synchronize time with the PC. it was still late. I checked the device setting and it actually shown that the device time was different with the network's time. After 2 days of frustration. I hybridized the device again with the signal on, and somehow the device shown the correct time after hybriding.

Hi aphorist, is your BIS actived ? if yes try to check your time zone (click clock>set time, and set: update time automatic, check your time zone and set manually if it's not correct, set auto update time zone: automatic and save), and then turn your device off, pull your battery out and take out your sim card for a moment, and then put your sim card and battery back, and try to setup BBM again after your phone is on idle (not busy indexing). I hope it will solve your problem.

The last thing that you can try is starting frm scratch; backup your phone, do a factory reset and wipe your phone with bbhtools, install RC20, after reboot do intial setup and set your settings manually (do not restore your backup) then log in to your bbid, after your problem solve, do a selective restore (restore contacts, sms, and email only).

I suggest you try and get these on your phone, try one first and try the other, turn wireless off, and run the JAD file, and install, reboot phone, make sure your 3G has the BB logo on next to it and in Capital.

RC20 + .1098 on 9320

I just notice that the five top main button is always on when the device is in idle.
At dark, I locked the device and all buttons light are off. After sometimes, these five buttons are on again while others are still off.
Is it normal?

Attachment data in e mails - I am Unable to open attachments "More requsests cannot be completed. Service book information not found"

Deleted all service books. Did a battery pull. Reinstalled service books. Deleted E mail address and reconfigured E mail. Still same error. I am able to receive e mail but cannot open any attachements included in the e mail. BIS active.
Any suggestions?

Try to resend your HRT (imo this is BIS problem frm your carrier), if it doesn't fix your problem, wipe and re install the OS.

That's a little bit odd, your device were reset to a factory settings, it was supposed to be able to connect to the blackberry sever. Please ask your carrier if you download and install BBM frm BBworld doesn't fix your problem.

As Sator suggested maybe you can delete the BlackBerry Messenger alx, and reload the OS without it. Then download the one from BBW or the ones I gave you? Very odd ...

Re installed os RC20. Attachments are working in e mail now The only downside is that i have to wait for a few days for the os to settle.

I got 7.1.0.1033 and put in the berrylicious update on, and on app loader its not showing up that there is an OS available. I already deleted vendor.xml so I don't know what im missing, I do the same thing for every update but this one is not working.


Nevermind that appdata one was hiding.

I'm not sure aphorist, it could be a network or hardware problem, it's better for you to bring your phone to your carrier and tell them about your problem.
