    Thanks a ton legal eagle.
can i use whatsapp without BIS in hybrids ?

Was using version 7.1.0.1047 (7.1.0.2841) by Bell. I installed it as per instructions and by BBSAK, but always returned to me 102 error or something else not withstanding more than a week with any version from the official site.

This time I gave it to a service center and they haven't installed email setup app in it, is there any way to just install the email setup alone. Tried DM's application tab, but couldn't find email setup application in it.

I don't use Whatsapp so can't give you a definitive answer, but I see no reason why it should not perform exactly the same with a Hybrid as it does with a standard OS.

If you are going to use the Hybrid then you will have to load up a new OS so the email set up app will get installed as part of the process.

Uninstall all other OS's you have on your PC and download and install your chosen stock OS to use as a base.

    Download RC19 and open it.

Copy the RC19 .alx files and paste (overwrite) into the base OS file.

Do the same with the Java files from RC19.

You have now created the Hybrid OS and it is ready to load.

Backup your device and for best results do a wipe with BBSAK or similar.

Load the Hybrid OS using App Loader, then restore your backed up date via DM

Reload your apps from BB world, do a battery pull and you are good to go.

Over the next 2 full days following the load do a minimum of 2 battery pulls at least 6 hours apart.

Enjoy the enhanced performance you will get from the Hybrid.

Any problem or questions ask away.

Stock OS mean any latest official OS from BB will do ? Even the one I mentioned earlier ? 7.1.0.1047 (7.1.0.2841) by Bell.

Yes, any "Official" OS in the .1xxx range will work fine as a base for RC19.

Hi. Is it necessary to copy the alx files included in the 'Dakota zip file' as well? Bb 9900.
    Thanks

you don't need to copy the dakota alx. file, you only need to copy the alx. files inside the RC19/20 folder.

Thanks to everyone who keeps supporting the bbos7 devices, my 9900 with berryLicio.us is so much faster than my work 9810 with stock (and more stable!)

Looking forward to trying rc20, downloading now

Quick question I always go and install specific apps and the porsche theme, is there any reliable way to do this automatically ?

    Regards

Dear BL users, due to less changed cods on RC20 for 1098 SFI, now the RC20 for 1098 can run with 861, 1033. 1047 and ofcourse 1098 SFI ( I haven't tested on 9720), after the installation your device will boot up a little bit longer but it's fine...

Download and install the latest OS 1033 for your 9920, and you can install RC20 for 1098 only (it can run with 861,1033,1047 and 1098 sfi), it's safe for you to use RC20....enjoy.

As Sator says, we can now say that the OS works with more OS`s than we thought:

    RC20 for 1098,1047,1033 and 861 SFI only

Your welcome Damian..., you can create jad. files for your specific apps. and the porsche theme using BBHtool, after that you can save the files in your memory card (SD card). You can install them back after you install a new OS

Sator, I am planning to format and upgrade my friend's 9790 soon and I see 2 options for him. Install RC19 with base OS 1070 or RC20 with base OS 1047. Which one do you think is better? Thanks.
