- hehehehe...yes. it's a lil bit slow, RC20 for 1098 SFI ONLY is being tested by the BL team, if everything runs well, it should be released this Friday....11-05-13 06:12 AMLike 11

Just a clarification: your quote above means that for example who has a torch 9860 (with no official 1098 available *yet*) cannot try your next build ?
thanks
EDIT: sorry, I have found the answer already in the previous page ... and ... my thoughts were correct ! Well, in case no 1098 will ever be released for my 9860, then I hope someday we will see a RC19+ if necessary, otherwise I am gonna keep your RC19 forever since its running so damn well till now11-05-13 10:43 AMLike 0 -
Sator explained why earlier in the thread:
I'm mixing a new hybrid (RC20) base on 1098 and it's only for devices with 1098 SFI since 1098 cods. are not compatible with SFI below OS 1098. I 'm still fixing the hybrid to make it stable, because it's a liltte bit different from the older OS's (it's similar to OS's for 9720 with multicast features))Sator and BoldAlways like this.11-05-13 10:47 AMLike 2 -

11-06-13 08:58 AMLike 0 - I can confirm, Sator is resting but has been busy so that is allowed of course.
RC20 is amazing on battery and very smooth, all going well I will update
the post tomorrow or friday unless something drastic happens on my handset.
Keep your eyes posted and get 1098 ready for the insall.
11-06-13 09:07 AMLike 6 - Hey BL team as stated by others, it would be great if we could get a 19+ build for all the people who are on devices that haven't gotten a 1098 SFI release. I have a 9930, I have created my own hybrid with 1098 files which is great on battery life but it has some quirks with using the phone, so would really love your BL team to put up a non 1098 SFI hybrid so you guys could keep us BB users in mind and put out a higher cod hybrid which works with lower SFI that would be awesome11-06-13 10:09 AMLike 0
- I don't have 9720 or 9790, IMO it won't work especially with the latest OSes from 9720, I tried a java swap OS 1083 for 9720 on 9360 it works but I had random reboots and a lot of errors in event log, so I don't recommend you to do a java swap on your 972011-06-13 06:23 PMLike 0

1. Turn your Radio and data connection Off (until you've finished the installation) and connect your phone to your PC, open BDM and Backup your Data
2. Do a security wipe frm your phone
3. Wipe your phone with BBHtools or triple wipe (no worries, triple wipe will make your device blinks)
4. Go to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader, use App. loader instead of BDM to load your OS, click LOADER....
5. make sure you click the apps (boxes) that you wanna install, and click next....
6. when it"s done (do not disconnect your device), close app loader and open BDM to do a selectives restore....
7. when the selective restore is done, disconnect your device, do a batt pull....after reboot, turn your radio and data connection on.....11-06-13 10:29 PMLike 0 - I think its time I try a new hybrid, think I have gone for eons without even updating my phone. I have a torch 9810 and all I'm looking for is something that will give me better battery life due to the fact that where I'm at I struggle to get network. Now this may be more of a network issue than a software issue but i hope to perhaps try a hybrid that will give me a slightly better network signal.
I read somewhere in here that someone tried a 1033 or 1098 sfi on their phone and it worked fine. Wondering if I can try that too, use a 9900 .1033 sfi on my 9810 maybe which may help things abit. Any input welcome. Otherwise no issues besides a struggling network signal. Phone is fast and fluid.11-07-13 03:02 AMLike 0 - I think its time I try a new hybrid, think I have gone for eons without even updating my phone. .1033 is available for the 9810

Try .1033 with RC19, should work well for you.Phly_kid likes this.11-07-13 06:56 AMLike 1 - Got to say that the .1098 .sfi for the 9900 is looking very strong signal wise.
Getting 5 bars of 3G in places where I normally struggle to get more than 2 bars.11-07-13 09:55 AMLike 0 - That's what i want to say about my next loaded hybrid. Everything else I can get around but signal is tricky. I didn't even know the 9810 has a .1033 OS. Think I've been gone too long or alot has happened in the short time i was gone. Thanks for the heads up, i will try that combo see what I get.Legal Eagle likes this.11-07-13 10:05 AMLike 1
