I'm beginning to think I had a bad install, or my specific phone doesn't like 1st anniversary. Ah well, can't win em all. I think I'll try RC19!

I don't necessarily need to install the .alx files that come in the package, do I? That's the only thing I did different.

Thanks for the hard work, guys!
you don't have to install the alx. files if you don't use that apps, RC19 comes with BBM 7.1.0.24 frm 9720 OS 7.1.0.1046, you can use the BBM alx. file from the BL Anniversary, open the alx file with notepad and chance the BBM version number frm 7.1.0.23 to 7.1.0.24. I always use CCleaner to clean up (cleaner and registry) my PC/laptop before I install a new OS on my PC, and always wipe my phone to avoid bad install.

I always wipe my phone as well, so perhaps something happened during install. We'll see what happens next time.

You actually get an answer from me rather than Sator or Zoc sorry, although
    Sator may already have replied.

If you have no sfi preference use the higher OS.
Thanks, Ian - and yes, Sator already replied. My question of .861 vs .912 was due to some signal issues I have experienced using TMO .912. But these issues could also be ATT network related - and in any case, RC19 has not been tested with .861 so I will use .912 again.

    Hi Don

Have you tried the Telstra .912 ? May be better than the T Mobile version, smaller .sfi if I remember correctly.

You sure can, just make sure that you install the files from the Language Pack that come with the RC19 download and you should be fine.

but if i use portuguese language, its enough swapping only the files inside the Java files (there are some cod in PT) or i have to use some files from the file "LAnguages" that come along with RC19?

You need to add the Language Pack files to the base Java to get additional languages other than English.

Shrink out what you don't need with BBH Tools prior to loading.

Make sure you wipe your phone before install to get best results so don't forget to do a backup !!!

Battery pulls at least 6 hours apart over the first 2 days after install are also advised for best results.

At least our Hybrids always work which it seems is more than can be said for the BB10 leaks !!!

Seems you are in a whole new world with the Q, sideloaded apps and strange ways to load OS's and problematical backups.

You're welcome to it mate, Legacy OS is a piece of cake compared to BB10.

Don't usually use GPS but just tested it to answer your question.

Inside house locked very quickly (less than 30 secs) with accuracy of 12.65m

    Hope this helps.

    quick review for RC19 + 1033 on 9320.
    - faster response and solid performance esp when browsing
    - better power management; battery temp 29 - 35 C
    - quicker and solid signal lock
    - faster shutdown (turn off)
    - os version shows 7.1.0.1070
    Note:
after installing RC19, the BBM icon did not show at home; but in the app management it is BBM 6.2.0.56.
I re-installed the cods using BBSAK and the icon shows up.

Thanks again for Sator and BL team...

ok after one day or i should say after one very fast day of work,
1- battery drain is on higher side but still managed to go through the full day with heavy usage, texting, calling, browsing e.t.c.
2-performance is rock steady, browser didn’t crashed, ( i don’t use many apps but browser to perform various tasks whih are usually done by apps)
    3-very snappy overall operating system
    4-hourglass is appearing on occasions
5-awesome memory management virtually no leak yet and i have 232.6mb free memory
6-after restart if i don’t use the phone like i did last night for almost 8 hours battery didn’t drained it was 100% when i put it in the phone last night and it was 100% when i woke up early in the morning.
