Sachesi and darcy"s tool extract OS 10 files but not sure if they can do the same for OS 7 autoloader. Though these tool have been developed to extract BAR files but I will try and find out if that is possible !

Edit : have tried without any luck, sorry guys
There is a difference in the signatures used to sign the files because of which the tools are unable to extract the individual files within this OS.

True and maybe one is a BAR and the other a Java file could be the reason. I also tried BBhtools with no joy
Out of curiosity does anyone have the 9720 here ?
chief,
I think will reinstall again the RC18, what i notice is that after i shrunk os. There is one removed file appeared in the java file. shall i leave it or deleted it .Attachment 190291
I haven't tried the small SFI, I'm using the large one and working very good.
Sent from my Z10 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Got a 1st Anniversary made up with "small" .1033 .sfi ready to load up tomorrow.
Also going to try full erase for the first time too having managed to get it past my Antivirus at long last so will see what an .sfi wipe does performance wise.
Will see how it compares to the "large" .sfi and report back in due course.
I posted on the 9900 forum asking whether to use the O2 jAllLang version or the Vodafone DE AllLang version, but now I see there are Multilang versions as well. So three SFIs to chose from. Any suggestions?
Is Triple Wipe difficult to use? And is there any increased danger of nuking or bricking (I have a corporate device and they don't know I do hybrids - would be bad deal if anything happened . . )
If anything happens, just remember that it's usually easier to ask for forgiveness than for permission.
Yes did what you have told, still cannot display in chinese.
This is what i did.
1. Run os 7.1.0.1033 base os.
2. Copy language file from RC18 into crogram file/common files/ research in motion/shared/loader file/9900alllangv.7.1.0.1033
3. Extract all files in RC18 java and paste into C;as above.
4. Now in C:////9900alllangv7.1.0.1033 have 3 files (a.java, b language c. umts file
5. Shrink os as shown in earlier
6. wipe + full erase phone
7. load os into phone.
8. select language in loader and download.

Number 4 is incorrect, you're supposed to have only java folder and umts folder, copy and paste all the cods inside the language folder into the java folder, and delete the language folder
Okay first of all, your current OS will not work with RC19. So download the latest OS for 9900 here
Install that file on your computer, deleting the 7.1.0.746 one.
A SFI is the file on the UMTS folder of the OS.
Follow that steps and you're ready to go.
ok...thank you! I will give this a try and report back.
I noticed that your link brings me to the Blackberry UK software download site...does it make a difference that I'm in Ontario, Canada and locked to Rogers network?
Also, I thought the latest BL is RC18? I checked the first page to confirm. If not, can you please send me the link to RC19...thank you!
