    Hi guys,

Managed to install the hybrid, thanks for the help.

    Quick question,

I charged my phone for about an 90mins and got to 95% battery life, and then went down to 25% in a matter of half an hour with no use at all, could my battery be giving up???

    Thanks

Should be related to wrong battery calibration...
If it's an old battery the story could be different.

It's normal after installing a hybrid os. Just make sure that you do a regular pull battery (3 times a day for 1-3 days after installation).

Try to run your battery out, til the device powers off, and allow it to charge FULLY.

If that doesn't fix your woes, you might have to replace the battery. I get the 9900 batteries for cheap $20 a piece.

Hi I'm new to this forum and to hybrid OS, too.
Till three days ago I'd used 7.0~ something, and my 9790 only lasted for 3-4 hours. Two days ago I switched to 7.1.0.865 and the battery lasted for about 10 hours.
Then I came by this thread yesterday and decided to install hybrid OS for the first time; using 7.1.0.923 as the base and RC17. I have few noob questions:
-My battery went from 100% to 51% in 40 minutes today; is this normal after installing a hybrid like Sennayan said? Because I only used .865 for a day and it had better battery life than this one.
-About the battery pull; so I just need take out the battery for 60~ seconds every 6 hours or so for three days after installing a hybrid?
-How much time does it usually take till I can enjoy the goodness of hybrid OS? And what's the most common change that I can immediately recognize?

Thanks (and sorry if my english is bad)!

Welcome to CrackBerry! Your battery and temps will be all over the darn place for about 3 to 4 days, don't be alarmed. Pull the battery for about 3 minutes or so, and it should settle in less than a business week (5 days) then you can go nuts with the hybrid on your 9790 with a nice grin

So what's the easiest change to recognize after using a hybrid?

    Thanks for your reply anw!

I'm just messing with you, my friend. Until the guys get a new OS to play with, you guys are stuck with RC17 for a little while.

No, that's not normal at all especially if his hybrid OS had settled in for a few days. Nico, please inspect your battery physcially if it's 'swollen'. Mine was swollen after about 18-20 months of regular use. I had just replaced mine with hippo power battery 2000 mAh. It didn't feel like 2 Ah battery, though. More like 1.5 Ah.

I usually pull my battery out after restoring contacts and installing 3rd party apps like facebook and whatsapp. BBM will try to re-download contact pictures and status messages. And after all of that is done, I pull my battery. The whole process is usually done within 6 hours after loading any OS. A good way is to leave it overnight and pull out the battery when you wake up.

The thing I love the most about hybrid OS is no memory leak, apps become more responsive, no more hourglass, arguably less battery drain? Thanks, RC17 is great for now!

    Hey guys,
phone is much more responsive on the software side and am loving it,
battery levels have still been crazy, charged for an hour yesterday and drained to 5% in 20mins,
have inspected the battery and its still in good condition. Will give it a few more days and then try a new battery.

Yeah the same goes for me; battery life is still bad. It's the third day for me, wonder how long it'll take to settle. I do notice the software is more responsive but not that much.
