- Day 4 on RC17.
Running like a dream using .923 base on 9900.
Does seem to be lighter on battery than RC16 but that may be down to my choice of base OS as I used Telstra .912 with RC16.
Great work as always by Sator to who we all owe big time for all the hours of work he puts in on our behalf.
All in all, been a pretty good week, new RC and news of a new BB7 device later in the year that should ensure that there will be mant more new OS's for Sator to play with !!! Really hope that the new device turns out to be a Bold form factor device.
So for next week I am hoping for a new 9900 OS to be released so we have RC18 and a new .sfi to look forward to.06-30-13 06:18 AMLike 4 -

- BlackBerry is going to keep these folks busy with a new addition to the OS7 family....guess they know you guys, and word got around lol.
As per the new OS7 device.....if it is like a jacked up 9900, I'd be kinda looking forward to it use it as a test device or a secondary device.06-30-13 12:09 PMLike 2 - Thanks for actually repsonding. You guys seem dedicated to what you do and that's great. Recently been trying RC15 with .923 base for my 9900 and i'm still testing out if wifi is indeed stronger but the browser is faster over the stock .923. Think i'm going to try RC17. Any other benefits of newer RCs?06-30-13 12:28 PMLike 0
- Well, having been the tester (and chief) Sator just spices things up with proper 'flare'. The fluidity of the OS seems to have been up to snuff, the browser is just plain nuts! And it seems to be a lot more responsive as well.

The Battery life is better due to the 1011 cod being more efficient
Although we could do with the radio file also.07-01-13 01:51 AMLike 4 - I unplugged my 9930 at 9 AM today at 100% battery charge and by 9 PM, it was right at the 20% yellow. It was significantly better than what I was getting with stock .991 OS. I felt that I had been texting a lot more today.clie610 and Legal Eagle like this.07-01-13 09:09 AMLike 2

- Your temps do seem a little high, but if you have only installed today phone may still be indexing.
Did you do wipe before install and clean install of apps ?07-01-13 10:15 AMLike 3 - What Legal said. The first 3-4 days will put a beating on your BlackBerry phone, in those days I personally try to use it as much as humanly possible. I religiously stick to the battery pull schedule as outlined by one of the BerryLicious folks.
Around the 4th day [sometimes 5th] I do notice a difference, which is in fact quite noticeable...the odd time I'll get a whacked load the OS had a bad load etc, but that's an easy fix.ifraser likes this.07-01-13 12:25 PMLike 1 - I don't know about you guys, but my experience with OS upgrade or any reformat, any indexing or "settling in" is mostly done within a few hours. During those times, my phone does get warm. I usually connect to a home internet wi-fi to get things done faster.bimmerdriver likes this.07-01-13 12:34 PMLike 1
