I had the same problem - fix for me was that somehow REDUCED virtual keyboard had been set - once set back to FULL, the problem went away.

Sorry - meant to say PORTRAIT keyboard needs to be set to FULL . .

Because the base code for 99XX and 9810 is virtually the same (both devices use the same CPU) - so RIM just left the virtual keyboard code in the 99XX OS

Does it ever happen to you guys, while playing music for more than 2 hours your blackberry would have spinning clock frenzy? I always hear some music on bed and slept without turning it off and when I woke up in the middle of the night and want to use the phone it got crazy with spinning clock every 30 second. It only stop when I close the music player. I got seriously annoyed I use bl hybrid 14b with 861 base because it runs better than 923 in my place (in term of signal lock)

Do a Security wipe, wipe your device (bbhtool/triple wipe) and reinstalll RC15, also do a selective restore only from your backup data. I hope it will solve your issues.

I did that. I love how triple wipe work. Phone never worked sweet. But this contact book issue is frustrating sometimes. It seems as the time goes on, the phone behaves strange.

Take for example. Boot been slow for the last rebuilds. Remove my emails and readd and now it boots quick. But I get this pausing on the ph that is not related to memory. Maybe is old age of the ph. Time for a Z10.

when you do a factory reset, also do a selective restore from your backup data (uncheck unnecessary data; apps. permission, call logs, attachments etc.). it looks like caused by a corrupted backup data.

i dont think thats the problem. .vcf is a universal way to store contacts, heck even apple uses that extension i think.

Cant you sync your contacts from bb protect or gmail, any other mail service?

Ok. I will try that the next time. I just feel once corrupt, always corrupt. That means after a rebuild, I should have issues. I don't. But after a few days or a week, things start creeping in.

so from last one week i was having fun with the rc15 and decided to do another clean install with selective restore and now deviceruns even more smoothly.

this morning i was reading some news article on the full desktop version in another language and browser never crashed where as previously it crashed.

BerryLicio team truly upholds the value and on top of it its free.

Remember, DONT delete the whole java directory and replace with the hybrid, as it is not the full java and you will have stuff missing that is required.
I've just d/load RC15.rar, then copy whole files inside java / language / .alx files into base OS right ?

That's correct! You don't need the languages if you primarily use english only.

Try to resend your service books, do the following...

    Options->Device->Advanced System Settings->Host Routing Table

Now push the menu key and select 'Register Now'. You'll get a message saying your hand held is registered with the said network, blah, blah, blah...

Do a battery pull for roughly a minute or two and give it shot again. If the issue still persists it MIGHT be an issue on your carriers end [sh1t happens], and you'd have to call them to figure that out. Let us know how things work out for you!
