There is now an Asia .912 available for the 9900.
Maybe the smaller .sfi may work better for some ?

First 24hrs,after switching fr fat.912 sfi (T-mo) to small.912 sfi (Telstra).. With RC 14B of course... temps is about 4-5 degrees lower than before, also better signal locking.
    Thanks sooo much, LE

have been using the .923 for more than 24 hours and must say it is a good stand alone OS.
    IMO, the best since .714

Not for me, in the beginning experienced long time to lock to wifi and network and also bbm freeze when searching contact

However, seems past this issue after several battery pulls. So far it is running well with temp lower than .912

I'm experiencing slowdowns as well. And no GPS at all. I guess I'll switch to standalone .862 again.

No, I don't think so. It works with the official .862 OS. Not as good as my Curve (7m>3m), but it did the trick. With the hybrids, it seldom worked and when it did it was very inaccurate. What a pity I can't use the (faster) hybrids. Well, life's not all guns and roses!

Was going to try the same thing myself, but now that we had RC15 on the horizon and the .923 .sfi I will hang fire.

If the .923 .sfi isn't a good one then the small .912 sounds like a winner.

EDITED: it's a no go for me
Back to .912 SFI and waiting for the RC15

It means you have a "clean install"....., RC15 is a lil bit better in ADR compares to RC14...

signal is exceptional for me ( best to date) , temp a wee bit cooler than .912 but still no where near our expectations

First few hours on RC15, used .923 as my base (Sator's suggestion)

Signal locks incredibly fast, wi-fi as well....will report back with additional info once it settles!
