My battery, while charging jumps from 84 to 100 while charging and comes back to 84 after disconnection. Doesn't charge beyond 84% at all. Battery needs replacement?

You have installed base .861 on your PC, next step; copy and paste RC13 Java folder and blackberryMessenger alx. to your Java base .861 (Overwrite all).

I wasn't going to post this, but I had a really messed up load!

My device would randomly reboot either on charge or just by itself....I was kinda in awe.

Long story short I used BB Easy Zero, and all is well now!

    So....RC 14 guys? LMFAO

Sharma, I don't have those "advance options" on the bottom right. How do you get that?

I have that too as soon as its off the charger it goes down to 85%, it started happening after I did the overnight charge recommended after a fresh install.

    @mi.key

Its hidden, I can't remember how I got it to show lol.

Go to file and all that to see if you can show the advanced options.

Remember, use your own discretion when shrinking!

I'm on the road today for work, sorry I couldn't tell you exactly how I got the advanced things to show up, my apologies.

My original JM1 is still performing fine, had it since August 2011. I did get a spare around 4 months ago but the original still holds a good charge.

Original new JM1's are so cheap on Amazon it's got to be worth giving a new battery a try.

And you haven't had the "instant % drop right after charge" issue?

Yea guess I'll have to give that a try. Thanks Legal.

You only need to copy files from R13 java folder to .861 java folder. Choose OVERWRITE ALL when copying.
    Good luck
Yup, it's the same but it's safer since you won't miss a single cod from RC13 Java by mistake.

Seems got it installed without a problem, now running the OS.
No huge change from the base 861 yet

Shown as 865 as it's expected to be.

Give it a few days to settle, do scheduled battery puuls [6 hours apart for first 2 days]

That is a soft reset ( quick pull), you need to physically do the battery pull ( hard reset) to make the OS settle in and be more effective. Also do it within a gap of 6 hours between them.

    Hi All,

Had been on RC with .861 base/sfi from digicel but it did not work out for me hence have moved to RC13 with .794 base (MTS) and .714sfi and it has been doing Awesome !
Adr is in the range of 3-4% on heavy usage and the OS has settled in wonderfully well post the battery pull schedule.
OS is smooth as usual with any of the BL builds and device is super cool.
No issues with network latching and wifi signal latching.

As reported earlier was BBhtools ( it is automatically shrinking BBM) even though i make sure to uncheck it before shrinking. Have reinstalled BBhtools but to no avail. Any suggestions ?
