i might have installed rc10 by mistake instead of rc11
Definitely is not a BL Ultimate RC mix you installed on your device, it might be BL returns mix.

everytime I install an os, i do immediately a battery pull, then after 3 or 4 hours, the os seem to settle... my ADR goes to 1.2% usually and everything is ok....untill I do a second battery pull, then my ADR is always at 6% and above. but thinking that os has not settled yet, i've been waiting and doing battery pulls for a week to see any progress but no.
another time I have tried to do only one battery pull after the installation and to wait about a week to do the second battery pull but things were the same, for one week and before the second battery pull, adr was pretty good, about 1%, after second battery pull went again above 6%. this happens everytime i install an os. the last time i remember that this did not happen, was with rc8A1.
anyone knows something about that? thanks

Day 2 of RC11B1; 3 battery pulls so far. Running beautifully! Scrolls super smooth, data loads faster, navigating the phone is lightning fast!

Quick question in RC11b / os 7.1 + I can set contact specific led but it doesn't work for bbm's +only email and possibly text - have I shrunk something out as I can't believe they'd make it that way!

Or am I missing something ?

I don't think you shrunk something out otherwise your phone won't boot up. It looks like an app. Conflict.

Contact specific LED is a native feature??

Nope, that's why I said it's an application conflict (not compatible with the OS LED features)

I too hope RC12 with .861 codes will be available by sunday so that we can celebrate our weekends. There has been no news of availability of Z10 yet in India so RC 12 will be consolation for time being. I am sure Sator will understand our anxiety!

Day 3 of RC11B1. Still running awesome and extremely low battery drain despite lots of use and wifi.

Light years of difference from RC7!

    Kick *** work!

@Sator, do you or any of your team members know which particular cod affects the showing of 3G and 2G as well as plain 2G? The feature is present in .714 OS but i soon realized its not in the SFI but in one of the cods in the base. If you use plain .714 OS you will have the 2G option only but if you overwrite with say RC8 or the feature is gone. Would be cool to have 2G option only for saving battery life as well as when one is not in a place with proper 3G connection.

2G or 2G and 3G option is controlled by your carrier not the cod.

I wonder why someone can't build something into a mobile os to flick to 3g for specific apps and then back to 2g when phone locks / sleeps, would save tons of battery on all phones.

For me on bb it would be good to have a 1 press switch between the 2, I miss only 2 things from my iphone, this and bite sms which could schedule messages to send at a specific date/time and send to everyone in my address book without trying to send it as a mms which the bb does, I get free sms but not mms :-(

Apologies for ranting, anyway back on topic rc11b is great, I seem to get same battery life (3% per hour drain 3g, <2 on 2g) as I did with my older version on .714 sfi but this one definitely works quicker browsing and holds signal better

Woah! Something very strange just happened, phone beeped low battery so I pulled it out my pocket and it was hot, not just warm but very hot.

Battery showing drained, quickly checked battery through bbda and it's lost 25% in the last hour, no apps running, wifi off, phone was on 3g, shows little under app use.

Radio showed 100% on mobile network!

I've battery pulled and the battery was really hot,

    Any ideas ?

Maybe you were in a bad coverage area, your device were busy keep on searching for 3G. It can raise the temp. and consume more batt. Power.

Maybe there were some network issues, I'm at home and usually on full 3g signal (which it is now).

I've not experienced it before so left battery out all night and will see how it goes after a full recharge.

    :-)
