While we are waiting for the new brew... Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between doing a wipe with BBSAK vs BBH Tool? If so, is one better than the other?

Phill UK has reported that the .825 .sfi has a very good signal and runs much cooler than .794 and .746 but a little warmer than .714 (fat)

Sounds like it will be worth giving a try with RC11

Got to agree with you about Xmas Special though, installed it on Christmas day and it is still running great with no issues at all. at nearly 4 weeks I thing that this is the longest I have had the same OS on my phone for months !!!

Sure RC11 will not be too far away and rroyy already has .862 so it may leak soon and bring about RC12 !!!
I have .825 on my Bold since its release and it seems a good OS.
The sfi is good but runs a bit warmer than .714............if one relates it to the older sfi's ( temprature wise) , then it would be as warm as the .569sfi but with better signal for sure.

    Will keep you posted !

Even it is with me too. Xmas edition, I have used longest in last one year atleast. But, today, I was tempted for .825. Installed it aound 4 hrs before. Yes, it's true, signal is better than .746 & .714 but slightly warmer than .714.

Got to agree with you. This is the longest time i have had the same os on my phone since i started using BL Hybrids
Im sure the Team is already in the kitchen...

I really don't think it matters...as long as you get to the 507 error

I installed it yesterday to see how it worked, but it's not very smooth. It's going to need some BL love. I'd wait for RC11.

AFAIK, they do the same thing. I stopped using BBSAK because it's not really being supported and BBHTool also does shrink, which I do everytime I load an OS. Why use two tools when one will do the job?

well, you have to wipe your device with bbsak(dont forget to backup)[I recommend to install fresh .825 (delete vendor files)]
download rc10, copy all contents insede "java" folder and pase Crogram files:common files:research in motion:shared:loader filesos):java ...and paste there....(alse paste messenger file found in rc10 but not inside java folder.
    download http://www.theiexplorers.com/BBHTool/BBHTool-pub.zip to shrink.

(most hybrid users has found x-mas edition much better than rc10)

Using 825 sfi and base with x'mas edition. Been running smooth and fast so far. Been running it for a day and haven't encountered any problem. Browser is fast, opening application is also faster than before, using BBM 7 and it restoring all contacts and groups without any problem and quite fast.

no I mean xmas edition. RC X-mas Edition.rar
you edit nothing. just drop this java mix and shrink
you would have to edit if you'd wanted to change the sfi. but i suggest not as 825 sfi is only a bit warmer than 714 but have great signal as those who've tried it has feedbacked.
Here is the link for 9900_.714 sfi frm Voda Uk.: rim0x07001204.sfi in case you want to change the sfi
(if you dont know what sfi is http://forums.crackberry.com/storm-o...xplain-210944/)
also os .825 may run better with rc 11 when released. have a good day
