You can try BL Xmas Edition and use base .746, copy and paste the java folder and the blackerry alx. file (you have to modify the blackberry alx., open up with note pad and change "Dakota" to "Davis")

Now using BL X-Mas edition in my 9220 over the .746 base... So far so good... ADR is basically the same that I was getting with base OS.. Couldn't expect more.. The 9220 has no 3G connection so, it won't drain so much battery unless you keep many apps running in background.. I noticed a really big improvement in MDR...
Sator, is it really necessary to edit the device codename in the bbm alx file? I did it too but maybe to some new people it's more complicated as they do not know their devices codenames and how to edit the file... :P

The blackberry messenger Alx. file is actually BBM7 for 9900 (dakota), any body with a different device than 9900 has to modify the Alx. file in order to install the BBM7, otherwise it won't install the BBM7 cods.

i have installed the hybrid using the xmas edtition with the .746 base and .714 sfi on my 9220,, it shows the following:

    7.1 bundle 2247 (7.1.0.807, platform 9.50.0.79)

did i do it right? why is it shows 9.50.0.79 instead of 9.50.0.80 in the platform?

You have loaded it correct, as per bundle and .807...with the platform thing I am not too sure of...perhaps someone from BL or anyone that knows can help you with that area, sorry!

Like Sharma said you loaded it right, it shows bundle 2247/.807 since I used base .807 and for the platform it shows .79 since you installed it with .714 sfi, if you use .746 sfi it will show .80.

Hi , help me please, I'm really confuse today ,
I plan to use hybrid rc10 on my blackberry 9900,
    My os. Base. 7.1.0.794,

I'm stuck at this part Open platform alx with notepad.
Add this extra line anywhere the rest of the cods are listed.

    net_rim_bb_phone_qchatptt_resources.cod
    net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_layout480x640.cod

, The question is. , where to add this code
    net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_layout480x640 ? On. Platform.alx

Now I do is paste this code
    net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_layout480x640.cod under all the code net_rim_bb_phone_qchatptt_resources.cod ,
    I'm wrong. Or not?

If you own 9900 and plan to use base .794, there is nothing to modify, just copy and paste the Java folder and the blackberry messenger Alx. File to your installation folder.

I recommend you to try our latest Hybrid the BL Xmas edition.

    Hi everyone!
I didn't update since RC7 beta. Everything's been running fine except the calls quality. Sometime I have to make the call again and the problem disappears.
Could anyone recommend which version will run better on my Curve 9360 - X-mas Edition or RC 10. And should I use the SFI_9360_7.1.0.714_Vodafone DE.rar or just replace the java folder? This SFI is something new for me. Thank you in advance!

For RC10 or Xmas Edition you have to use base .746 and for the sfi you can use either .714 or .746 sfi, you also have to modify the Blackberry Messenger Alx. File (BBM7), open with notepad and change "Dakota" to "Apollo".

I was with base 746 same sfi and rc8A1 and my adr was 1% to 1.5% medium use, didnt have good signal though, so i decided install again the same with 714 large sfi.
At two first days adr was at 2% but for the next week was at 6%. Does anybody knows why is that? I was doing battery pulls about 5 times a day. thanks in advance

Only thing I can think of is a bad load, don't stress it. Just wipe and load the hybrid again, then get your apps after, so on and so forth.

I've had about 3-4 bad loads, nothing too critical.

If you want a cooler temp., you can use .714 sfi large/JAllang, the one that I've posted.

You have .794 available for the 9810 so Xmas Edition should be fine.

Several times now I've seen my bold 9900 on xmas .794 with the large vodafone .746 sfi go from 30% when I wake up / switch on down to 0 in 10 mins light use.

May go back to small sfi as never had this before

    Anyone else similar ?

I've done the battery pull routine and get good 3g signal where I live, like I said not seen it before the xmas / large sfi mix I'm trying

    Regards
