BerryLicio.us Ultimate hybrid for most OS 7.1 devices
- I'm sorry guys, but I have to ask again just to make sure I don't screw up my phone lol. Here's the instruction from the first page:
Open platform alx with notepad.
Add this extra line anywhere the rest of the cods are listed.
net_rim_bb_phone_qchatptt_resources.cod
net_rim_bb_virtual_keyboard_layout480x640
If you do not do this, your phone won't load.
I noticed both files are already in the java mix (which I have copied and pasted onto the java folder of the installed OS). Does that mean I don't need to do anything? Just use the unmodified platform.alx?
PS: I've installed .794 on my PC, and I have never installed .746 beforeLast edited by wendieta; 12-13-12 at 01:28 PM.

- Used RC9A for 2 Days and i can say this is my first use for a hybrid OS, i based it on .794 it run so GREAT, Boot fast, Runs smoothly without any lags, Browser is great, Signal is great, and Battery life today lasted 8-9 Hours with Downloading stuff over the Browser on 3G, Played songs, BBM, Twitter, Emails, Calls, Texts, Mostly everything
But there's only one bad problem i've noticed, i got my media card crash twice, and its really annoying that i have to format it to use it again, and i have to copy my data and paste them after i format it... i noticed that whenever i have a crash my media card get FILES that i simply can't delete, Anyone got this problem ?12-13-12 06:06 PMLike 0 - I'm sorry guys, but I have to ask again just to make sure I don't screw up my phone lol. Sticking to what works for me seems good sense. Some people do get better results with Returns than Ultimate, each to his or her own.12-14-12 03:18 AMLike 0 -
Create a new folder on your desktop, install the OS to that folder then drag and drop from there.BoldAlways likes this.12-14-12 03:54 AMLike 1 - i'm confused. what is the difference between the released BL Returns 3.0 and the soon to be released rc10?? help?12-14-12 03:56 AMLike 0

what about the memory leak, cause ADR is sometimes related with the carrier's signal quality. I'd tried swap 807java+658 sfi. got quite good result with ADR but the memory leak is killing me, got 30-40MB leak in 12hours.12-14-12 03:58 AMLike 0 - i have -0.4MB in the last day. ADR for light/medium use (today) is 1.5, 3G only.
Quit a good build... (But arent they all as we approach perfection ?)12-14-12 04:40 AMLike 0 -
I tend to test them both to see what is best for my bold... The variables (carrier, coverage, country, sfi, etc) are so many that the best way is ti test and find out what is the best to you.12-14-12 04:44 AMLike 4 - Its like cooking, literally. They add their own flare to it so to speak, I'm happy with both. Do I have a favorite in particular? I'd have to be honest and say no. Both Returns and Ultimate have treated me ever so greatly, but that wouldn't mean jack if it wasn't for the support of the BL team and this community!

- why bothers you that? cant you install it for only 30 sec??? they've worked for many days for return and ultimate and you say you cant spend 30 sec to install it...12-15-12 03:34 AMLike 0
- its my 3rd day on Return3 with base 746 and sfi .714 on 9860. Performance wise, it is almost same as RC9a1. Battery temp remains around 19-20 degree and ADR 3-4%. Smoothness is also almost same. The only difference, I could make it that Return 3 has most files from 804 while 9a1 from 794. Now, it is becoming very difficult for all users to shuttle bet BL and return every week.12-15-12 03:52 AMLike 0
- same to me. compare to BL, return performs slightly better for 9860. May be because, return is one step ahead to BL like Return 3 has cods from 804 while 9A1 has 794. I don't know how far it is correct but return uses majority files from latest release while BL uses many from older too.
12-15-12 03:59 AMLike 0 - Sorry for asking in this thread since a similar thread already exists related to PlayBook having the same issue. Well, I'm facing a similar problem as no images are showing up in google image search when using native browser. It says that "try using other search terms" and possible other alternatives. Opera is working properly though. Phone is running on BL Ultimate RC9 Alpha 1 with 746 Rogers base & 714 Voda UK sfi. I've been using BL Hybrides from the very first versions itself and noticed the same issue once with an earlier release as well. Any help would be much appreciated.12-15-12 07:55 AMLike 0
