*sniff* *sniff* You guys smell that? I think RC9 might be sitting out to cool down before we can chomp down on it whenever BL team is ready!
Hmm, wonder which base we need to prepare for RC9

    .794 or .746 ???

Fat .714 .sfi will be going in it whatever it turns out to be !!!

It's doing superbly well but i haven't compared it with .714sfi combo so am not sure but i guess that is a Winner with both combos.
I get an ADr in the range of 4-5% per hour on heavy usage and less than 2 on medium.
Thanks for reply. That's some good ADR readings. Do you find that overall the .658 sifi is better at signal locking and gives more reception bars than .714 sifi?

    Hi Legal

Just wanted to ask what your ADR readings per hour are on heavy and medium usage?
    Thanks

To be honest, on RC8B1 I haven't been bothering to re set the MeterBerry discharge rate to check it out other than immediately after install when it idled around 0.5%

I am a light to medium user and have never had a working day when I have had less than 70% battery left so no real need to worry about the figures.

These builds are so good that you are only talking about very minor variances between versions on terms of battery life.

You can install an app. like a memory booster or a memory recyler, apply it after a heavy usage, it will regain your device memory.

you think downloads are affected by memory because judging by meterberry readings not much ever get used when it comes to memory that what I just look at when testing a hybrid is the responsiveness, speed of the OS, browsing, downloads and most importantly battery life.

I don't feel like spending hours and hours redoing everything again and going to RC8b from RC8a... But I have to say, between 8a and WhatsApp and Advanced LED and OS, I get like 5+ hard crash/reboots a day, and it is annoying, LOL!

Gotta be Whatsapp as I have 8B1 and Advance OS and my 9900 is running like a dream as it did on 8A1.

See, I never had problems with WhatsApp before RC8a, and it never crashed UNTIL I added AOS/LED. It only seems to happen while I am typing if I get an alert for a new WhatsApp message simultaneously. I don't know why it happens...

(Edit -- I have the Pro version of AOS/LED. Not sure if it makes a difference.)

Try dropping Sultan (The AOS Developer) a line in the App Thread or by PM.

He is very very good at responding to user issues with his app.

for me the signal locking is great with both .658 & .714 the difference is the temp ( .658 runs a bit cooler than .714) and the signal strenght ( .658 gives me -61dbm at my home whereas the .714 gives me -71dbm at the same place).

Really appreciate the feedback to understand better. I think I am going to try RC8B1 with .658 sifi too

.658 was a deviation i took and it worked for me but the BL team advices to go with either .714sfi or .746sfi for best results.
    All the Best

But you did have a good experience with .658 sifi and the OS works well? Unless there is something more we're missing, what is the negative?

Can someone tell me where I can get the proper SFI file (741 I believe)? I'm about to install RC8B1. I figure I'll wait for everyone before jumping to RC9A1

Loaded RC9A1 on base 746 with sfi 714 (large) on 9860. Just in 4 hrs, it seems OS has already settled. Let me watch how does it perform compare to RC8B1.

Let us know how it goes, I'll have to wait a few days due to work. By the way, I don't think anyone has asked this in a while...hows battery life?
