@Sator, what is the device temp with the RC8 mix with .714sfi ?
I live in a tropic country, my device temp is around 20 (at night/in the morning) to 26 degrees (day time)

I am also observing on my 9860, BDR is around 8-9% all thru the day which is quite uncommon for BL hybrids. It is only 20hrs of installation, hope it will come down once it is settled. what has been result observed by Sator, ifraser and Zocs team while testing. Yes, browser has been quite fast compare to RC7 and return.

Not sure if it's just me, RC8 when idle it settle at around 1% adr,
however, when moderate to heavy use, it can goes up to 9-10% add

Temp is under control in RC8. In idle I have noticed 18degree and normal working around 20-24degree. right now my concern is BDR which is quite high 8-9%.

With the same usage you usually give it? I believe youre using the .714 (beloved) SFi?

@Maxx, we dont tend to find it runs warm at all. But this will always depend on what you are doing with
your device, the environment it is in and your network as well.

I get it slightly warmer if i have been on the phone for a while but dont know any OS that wont do that really.

    RC8a, Phew !
I have missed out on this yesterday due to a very busy day at work.

Have just downloaded the RC on my laptop.

@ Legal, any initial Findings, apart from the browser ?
Less than 24 hours in, only had chance to do teh battery pull before sleep and overnight full charge so far.

Today, 10 e.mails, couple of texts, couple of calls and 3 hours hands free in the car and getting around 1.5%.

Seems to idle as well as 7B2 but handles doing a bit of work better.

Temp nice and cool as we expect from .714 .sfi

Just finished installing the apps and am good to go.
    Seems so far so Good.

My slide2lock app does not work with .746 OS, any alternate option which locks the screen to avoid accidental calls and locks screen while on call ?

Thanks Ian, why i asked was because Rogers OS does tend to run a tad hotter than others ( for eg. .391) but since .714 Voda is good with this OS all my fears are put to permanant rest !

Maxx, my 2 cents: for me nothing better than Tgrape lock: I have installed on all my BB devices and works like a charm..... (I tried any locking screen app and this gets the vote hands down, no match)....

@ Neumann66, Thanks a ton ! It works well with .746 OS and has a free 7 day trial too.

Initial Observation of RC8a post instalation of apps ( thanks to Neumann66 for the slide to unlock app)

Very smooth OS ( no spinning clocks after one battery pull)
Browser is Superb ( speed is Awesome)
Hybrid BBM works very well with this OS.
Signal locking and Network latching is Very Good.

ADr & MDr will post later when the figures are more realistic !

I did a Factory reset along with a Total wipe and have installed all apps one by one ( a little cumbersome but worth it, no Uncaught execption)

Looks like a GOOD & Solid build !

Thanks Zocs, Ian, Sator for this Winner All the Way OS.

    Got to agree.

Don't know why but the RC builds just seem to sit better on my 9900 than the Returns one did.

Maybe V2 will change my perception.

Only issue with RC8 is the high BDR which is 7-8%. Is this higher battery discharge rate only with me or is it normal? All previous BL hybrids had very low BDR.

7b2 was sooooooo Good that i had to drag myself to install RC8 but if the initial signs are anything to go by then i think we have another Winner here !

to be honest I'm wondered: till now ( 12 hours from installation - 2/3 pulls) I'm still at 1,89% ADR with at least 30 mins of calls (3G fixed) , 1 full hour of browsing, almost 100 emails received, some apps closed/opened etc...temp never higher than 20C...

    WHAT IS THIS??????????

Prithvi, ADR/BDR 7-8 % is a lil bit high, maybe you can check your 3rd apps setting.
