    Wait is over

    RC7B1-Java.zip

Copy and paste to a FRESH .714 install.

You can use either 658 or 714 as sfi and use the alx from post 1 to get rid of duplicates.

Sator, what if alx files (Post1) were copied and shrinking was also done. Doest that affect the performance?

    As previously mentioned,

The alx got rid of duplicate modules being loaded.

In your case you'd have taken the monza one.

If you look under options/device/appmanagement/os7.1 then scroll down you would have no double ups.

just finish updating to RC 7B.

get to excited about RC7B, till I don't read zocster words to overwrite the basic java, as a result it makes my dakota keep rebooting itself. LoL

    running on RC 7B now.

It is 4hrs on RC7B1. Internet browser seems to be connecting much slower, is it because of settling period? I recall Sataor had said RC7B1 is the best so far.

if you just update it. just give it some time to settle in. or it could possible from the network itself.

    Just a quick comment.

I had suspected Advance OS and LED as being in some way responsible for my wildly varying idle ADR rates.

Since wipe and install of RC6B2 I ran it without the app for 24 hours and got an idle ADR of 0.6%.

Put the app back on and 24 hours later still getting 0.6% ADR on idle, so it seems that AOS has no real impact on ADR.with RC6B2.

Going to load up RC7B1, but I've always gone for the full_os versions and copied the .alx files over the base....so the .alx don't really matter, whether they are from the base or full_versiion? It's just the java files that are important, correct?

Just paste the Dakota .alx files from the first post into your base OS .alx to prevent any duplicate modules from being loaded.

It's related to your provider BIS, check your service book, there will be 2 Blackberry internet browsing service 1 and 2, delete number 2, and do a soft reboot, after this don't do batt.pull, just do a soft reboot every 6 hours.

1.6 ADR is terrific. Sounds like it's installed properly and settled in well.

If u look at my graphs since I started testing it gives u an idea of the settling. It got better each day.

Make sure u do the battery pull schedule over the 1st couple of days.

We decided on a jave only release this time since most handsets have official 714 released.

It allows you to shrink out whatever you want before install.

They don't really matter but it stops many duplicate cods being installed so becomes a lot tidier install.

How have results on been for people on the sfi choice... 658 vs 714 sfi ?
658 sfi has always been good to me but only tried 714 sfi once and curious to try it again
