BerryLicio.us Ultimate hybrid for most OS 7.1 devices
- Two things i tried with this latest install :
Used AT&T special with .694 base and .658 sfi.....it did the the back up and load the OS but in the reboot step, did not complete the process and post the red light again starts to reboot (this went on for 4 times and i disconnected device). Had to wipe device clear until error .507 came with BBSAK. LEARNING : Don't try this combo, it does not work !
Then on a .694base loaded RC7a1 with .658sfi. Loaded like a charm ! This combo works, will post later for findings !Legal Eagle and sheldonbk like this.10-02-12 10:23 AMLike 2 - Two things i tried with this latest install :

Maxx, for the 694 at&t, we have to use 694 sfi only..
Here is the good news, starting today BL team is gonna test the 694 at&t V2

- Im now on .714 with 9900M_v7.1.0.714_BLRC7A1. This is the first time ever I have encountured problems with any OS, Hybrid or none hybrid. Bad radio for me here in Norway, and problems with email settings and suddenly the device turn itself of and I have to battery pull to get it to work. I have tried to install 3 times.
Kind of strange since Telenor, who released the .714 OS is Norwegian.
Now im back to .658 Telefonica Spain with 9900M_658_BL_RC6Beta1_Full, this is an awsome build, with good receptions and no problems.10-02-12 03:01 PMLike 0 - Pleased to report that my problems with RC7 appear to have been self inflicted and nothing to do with the OS.
I had shrunk out BBM and this did not seem to play well with App World as it tried to interface with something that wasn't there causing high battery discharge.
So to all you shrinkers out there, take note, delete both or neither if you want the OS to be allowed to perform as it is intended.
Thanks guys for the advice freely given as always.10-02-12 03:23 PMLike 2 - Thanks. I had forgotten about that. I just reinstalled Meterberry with this build. I haven't had it on a device since about January.10-02-12 03:50 PMLike 2
- RC7A1 + 9320/7.1.0.714 virgin base + .714 sfi
Installed, overwrote with java only
Shrunk os wit bbhtool
Installed with loader.exe
During the process after apps restored, while rebooting saying this will take 30 minutes removed battery for 10 minutes,
Auto restored data, radio off
Waited for 2 minutes, battery pulled for 10 minutes
Radio on for 2minutes , battery pulled for 15 minutes.
Fast smooth good browser so far 4 hours in.10-02-12 04:23 PMLike 0 -
Maxx, sounds like you have had a busy day, well I have started he v2 testing for ATT so will know by after tomorrow if we have a reliable 2nd mix.
As for shrinking, there is a guide to shrinking a bit back on the thread. if you read back a few pages you might find the post.Last edited by ifraser; 10-02-12 at 05:19 PM.
10-02-12 05:15 PMLike 2 - Yeah I use hotspot daily and it just eats up the battery like no tomorrow on all builds I've run. I only turn it on when needed, and then back off when I'm done.10-02-12 08:31 PMLike 0

My only request would be to make it work with either .658/.523 or.714sfi, don't know how but if it runs a wee bit cooler i will give it a good long run10-02-12 10:53 PMLike 0 -

Observations :
RC-7A1 + 714 (os/sfi) has turned out to squeeze excellent ADR whilst giving maxed out performance.
{ Speed/snappiness, smoothness, browsing experience, apps handling } are further enhanced by the [7-Alpha-1 + 714] OVER [6-beta-1 + 658].
This is my Day-2 with 1-2 batt pulls every 6 hrs and lets see as the OS further settles in.
Bravo!! BL Team. The gourmet has pulled off another killer recipe that gets ALL STARS.
RIM : hope u are listening .. ... U are useless !!
But keep giving us more OS's so that we continue to enjoy better recipe mixes courtesy Heartiest Thanks to the BL guys ...Sator likes this.10-02-12 11:27 PMLike 1 - You cant say that RIM is useless. Because of them, you now are using the Blackberry Smart Phones and using their OS. its only they never learned on how to produce a new better OS's than these Hybrids. Without them, there will no new OS / Blackberry lol! They are not useless, they are CARE-LESS!audio_engr likes this.10-03-12 12:19 AMLike 1
- Damn, I thought that I had got things sorted with RC7 but overnight it has been back to idling at 2% per hour.
Tried it with and without App World and BBM and with .714 and .658 .sfi
Just can't seem to be able to get it to idle on fesh air like all the previous BL builds have done, normally around 0.6%.
Seriously considering returning to RC6 but might persist until Special Edition 2 drops.10-03-12 03:37 AMLike 0 - Damn, I thought that I had got things sorted with RC7 but overnight it has been back to idling at 2% per hour.

P/s ; Im gettimg high ADR when idle-ing with RC7 too, never encounter this thing with other RC build also. But, i just load RC7 yesterday so, give it some times to settle and see how it goes we're on the same boat Legal lolLast edited by Slayohslay; 10-03-12 at 04:24 AM.
