Just a question, for those who tired the AT&T special but also tried the RC5/RC6 builds, was the AT&T better on battery than the other RC builds? Irregardless of how everything else (boot time, signal/gps locking, browser, etc...) was.

Yes it was....read my post in the ATT Special thread
If you use the .658 .sfi your issues with high battery temparature will be a thing of the past.
Sorry you had to ditch Whatsapp, but is is a battery killer.
Hmmm...ok. So what base should I use?
I miss the app, I won't lie...but I needed to know if that was what it was, and so far it seems as it was...either that, or the Special is just that good

strange, I always using whatsapp through all the OS-es that I used and no problem with battery, the only thing that I noticed was the MDR that was influenced with it.
Right!! Stop arguing about the battery pull schedules and get testing
Here it is, fresh off our hard drives and onto your phones--
Berrylicious Ultimate RC7 Alpha 1
Installation is the same as previous Hybrids, Depending on your Handset use a base of 7.1.0.658 or 7.1.0.714
Handsets other than the Bold 9900 download the Java Only package. Install the base OS as above then overwrite the Java directory using the Hybrid files.
Bold 9900 users copy the Hybrid files into the Base OS directory overwriting the current files.
Then Shrink out anything if required and load the OS using loader.exe or Destop manager if you prefer that method:
arghhhh already BL 7, downloading as i reply. waiting for my dakota to be replaced the 2nd time for dead pixel by the distributor, 1st replaced for keyboard error .
