Yeah, much as I am loving the performance of the Special Edition speed and battery wise, I'm itching to get back to the .568 .sfi which was giving me a better signal and running much cooler.

    Bring on RC7 !!!
This waiting is injurious......we mean .658sfi

Both results are pretty solid, our testers used 658 and 714 sfi. I think it's also depends on your network, if you find the 658 sfi works very good with your network, than you can install it first with 658 sfi, and later on you can try with 714 sfi.

java based stuff hugely benefit from repeated batt pulls carried out systematically to set in the os well. There's a whole lot of PPL on this Forum who would say 'bull' - but ask zocs or legal or Ian and they'll tell ya.
Huge?!? Seriously, what are you smoking? I call BS, a truckload of it. I used to do some battery pulls after an upgrade, but now almost never do a battery pull, partly because it's a PITA due to the otterbox commuter case, but mainly because it makes no difference, at least nothing noticeable. Now, the only time I do a battery pull is when the compass won't calibrate. I challenge you or anyone else to provide any tangible evidence that doing a battery pull makes any difference at all, let alone a "huge" difference. I've done numerous upgrades and I get the same battery life from the first day that I get later on. Seriously, a "huge" difference?!? Not.

at least it is something that might not be huge to have your compass needs to be calibrated with a battery pull required

Right!! Stop arguing about the battery pull schedules and get testing

Here it is, fresh off our hard drives and onto your phones--

    Berrylicious Ultimate RC7 Alpha 1

Installation is the same as previous Hybrids, Depending on your Handset use a base of 7.1.0.658 or 7.1.0.714

Handsets other than the Bold 9900 download the Java Only package. Install the base OS as above then overwrite the Java directory using the Hybrid files.

Bold 9900 users copy the Hybrid files into the Base OS directory overwriting the current files.

Then Shrink out anything if required and load the OS using loader.exe or Destop manager if you prefer that method:
