Wow! BL developers are sure cooking up a lot of goodies for us. Just downloaded the latest base for my 9900 (.658) plus RC6A1), shrinked, reset, let run. This is exciting kool ! Thanks BL team for your work! And am looking forwards to when the official .714 drops for the 9900 to see what goodies for it you can cook up.
Thank you again!
If .714 drops for the 9900, and it's the highest OS out there, than I can't do much to improve it. What I can do is using lower base (658/694) and beat plain .714 in overall performances (adr, mdr, browser speed etc.)...
Sator, is .694 sfi better than .658? Hows the both of those .sfi treats you?
Both SFI are great, the result of BL hybrids may vary, it depends on the carriers and personal likes, what we can assure you that 658 n 694 BL builds is much much better than standard OS....
i have a 9810. im confused on what to download. I already have the base installed. the new java file where can i download that?
on the first page i have this link Java Only for OS 7 Devices but its for the 9900 and the file contains RC6B1_9900_658.rar will that still work with 9810?

Use the base OS of 7.1.0.714 which has just been released and overlay RC6 Beta 1 Jave on top to compliment it.
If you look at my signature it is Beta 1, we have done Alpha 1 and Alpha 2 was testing only.
The file had a different name originally sorry guys,
Tomorrow we may have the BL Ultimate for ATT using 694 also.
Thanks Sator, Ian, Zocster and the BL Team.
I am now on RC6b1 on a .658 base, too early to comment but glad to be back on BL Hybrid after using the official .658 for a couple of days !

What base did you install? as far as I know there is no OS .658 for 9810. We have new build for OS .694 from AT&T (for 9900, 9860, 9810 and 9360) which is being tested by BL team. We'll release it on Sunday if the test goes well. BL will make a separate thread for this 694 hybrid.

Thanks, i guess i needed that cause i goofed up big time while loading this time ( i wiped clean the device without taking a backup but fortunately had an older backup so managed without too much of a loss.
My learning : always backup device before loading a new OS.

That's one reason why I use DM, automatically does a back up for you !!!
Reassuring when loading an OS after a good night out !!!

Agree 100% on that........just a last couple of times i thought i will start with a clean slate ( complete wipe).........will have to do it my old way from now on
If you do a manual backup it is just as good, I am testing the AT&T one now, so mine should be back up and running to test in 5 mins.
Just a little query :
in device versions it shows 7.1.0.714 (bundle 1909) but in .714 it should read as bundle 2039. Is there a reason to it ?
Just wanted to know out of my curiosity !!!!!

I did that one time. I now have a Dymo label on my monitor reminding me to back up.
If you are using BB Protect you might be able to you restore from there.
