As for now, .658 signal strenght is better compared to .523 imo, the temperature too. Eventho I'm charging my bb, the temperature keep its temp at 30c and below, never had this with .523. Will report my findings after I load the .694 later. As you can see, imma OS/Hybrid junkie lol! 3 OS in one night?

Yeah, obviously you should. Suddenly there's a lot of new os's yet been released. Let the BL team decide which mix, sfi files is the best for the nxt RC. As for now, I will be sticking with pure to observe, meanwhile waiting for the latest RC from you.
Please all take some advice and do not try to use 694 from AT n T. Although the OS number us high. The majority of the OS is older than 523.
Now for the Good news: The Alpha 2 trial has started well. Reloaded and the handset has settled very quickly. Signal is good and stable for wifi and 3G. And it has held battery very well considering I have been making a lot of calls tonight.
For me in the UK the 658 radio is looking good.
We will keep you updated but tomorrow is another day.

seems the next STRONG contender to the tried n tested { RC-5b[2] / 523 } will be the { RC-6-NEW + 658 }
patiently waiting .. but hurry up, will ya ...
Just be patient...lol, it takes time to build a good hybrid, now it's being tested by our team, the new build consist of 580, 649, 658, 714 cods. I haven't used 694 since it's released after I have finished the build, let's see what I can do with 694 cods...
IMO this new build is pretty solid and the browser is fast as always, Zocster and Ian will release it as soon as they feel it's good and stable....just watch this thread.
I decided to try the new AT&T OS (7.1.0.694). So, here are my 48 hour results on RC6A
-ADR 5.07% (about low/average for me) - not best I've seen tho by any means
-No lag whatsoever (most important)
-CPU usage 7.64%
-Biggest using Apps/Modules...
---1.3% fileindexservice
---0.7% ribbon_app
---0.6% bb_messaging_app
---0.5% ubersocial
---0.4% bb_qm_peer (I think Google Talk)
None of these app CPU usage numbers are bad at all. My use was heavily scewed in the past couple days to BBM & UberSocial. It seems to me that GTalk's usage was far more than the amount of times I actually ran it.
Nothing whatsoever wrong with performance, but with two new OS's today, and the fact that I get tons of echo on almost all calls (with this and all recent OS's in memory) has me thinking that a new sfi could help.
The good new is that testing is going quite well, hoping that we arent going to give you guys/gals a heart attack and quick release this version. 2 in a week is a lot.
I have heard a few nightmare stories about the 694 OS again so 658 sfi still looks like a good bet. Any we are still hoping that 714 might even appear for the 9900 lol

That means AT&T has taken lot of time for testing process and then released. To me, .714 is giving good result. Now, it is third day. battery has been at 2-4% and signal is also good. but I am eager to test RC6 Alpha 2 on 714 and would like to see how much further improvement is done.
