BerryLicio.us Ultimate hybrid for most OS 7.1 devices
-
Get your base os - 7.1.0.523, or even 7.1.0.658 from yesterday
Install the OS
Remove Any Vendor.xml files from your pc
Download the Hybrid of your choice - Latest is RC6 Alpha 1 full 9900OS is in my signature.
Extract the Hybrid over the Base OS directory in program files, with the 9900 you can remove all files in that directory, but just overwriting is best if it is your 1st time.
Run Desktop Manager and Backup your device.
It will prompt you to update, you can either do this as it is easiest for a new user, or you can do a full phone wipe which is a bit more advanced.09-20-12 12:44 PMLike 0 - Take your time and Start with the first thread post.

- Sorry Hamster, didn't mean to abandon you, got involved with Sultan regarding advance OS in another thread.
Glad to see that Maxx stepped in and helped you out.
That's the beauty of this community, there's always someone out there to step in and help out.
Hope the install went well, sure you will love the OS.

I installed .658 onto my computer and overlaid RC6A1 then ran DM and installed from there. I saw at one point something about wireless download.
The install went smooth and all apps seem to be working for now.

Zocs recommended battery pull schedule is:
1 after re installing apps
On day of install battery pull prior to going to bed with overnight full charge
Day 1 and day 2, do a further 2 pulls each day at least 6 hours apart.
Follow this and you should be good.
Hybrids do take a little time to settle so don't expect to see max performance until day 3 or 4.
Enjoy, bet this is the fastest 9900 browser that you've had !!!
Any problems just post and we will do our best to sort you out.hamsterwheel likes this.09-20-12 01:35 PMLike 1 - Can someone tell me if I'm running RC6A1 over .658?

You should find a smooth quick OS with the fastest browser around, and with each new build it just keeps getting better !!!

- RC6A1 installed smoother than the others and is running with only minor issues that battery pulls took care of.
I'm hooked!
We might need an intervention thread at some point.09-20-12 02:00 PMLike 3 -
- .694 for the 9900 is now available to download from the AT&T site if anyone wants to take the risk.
Of if the BL team want to try the .sfi .......09-20-12 02:54 PMLike 0
